The hot spring and sauna were the best indulgence in winter, while the outdoor campfire offered fun, along with roasting marshmallows, creating wonderful bedtime memories for the kids. We had a fantastic time celebrating New Year's Eve and the Lunar New Year here. The in-room chef service was fantastic, with delicious and creative dishes made right in front of us. Watching the chef cook while spending time in the cozy cabin in the snow created unforgettable memories.

Boasting various hot spring baths, hot tubs and an indoor swimming pool, Daiichi Takimotokan is historic accommodation with Japanese-style guest rooms. We travelled by train and bus and the hotel was a short walk uphill from the bus stop. We were warmly greeted and checked into a large hotel room with a dining area that was turned into a bedroom at night by the staff. There was also a sitting area with a view of the mountains. Dinner and breakfast had expansive buffets with Japanese and western options. The Onsen was amazing with multiple baths inside and outside that had various curative waters. Very close to this hotel was the walk through the thermal features of Noboritbetsu.
