It is the perfect spot to explore Taman Nagara Santubong National Park, the Pamai Rainforest, and Bako National Park! Hosts Emily and Willis are wonderful — great recommendations, fun conversation, and free rides in the local area! The home stay itself is beautiful with birds and monkeys visible from the pool! Delicious free breakfast included and super cheap laundry services. Such a wonderful place… we can’t wait to return!!

Nestled amongst the natural and lush greenery of the rainforests near the border between Malaysia and Brunei, Mulu Marriott Resort is located on Melinau Paku River in Miri. Beautiful hotel and its surroundings . Spacious room and comfortable bed. Free shuttle to airport and National Park. I had a nice surprise on return from our morning excursion , they decorated my room with Birthday cards and balloons and a towel birthday cake on the bed as well as a chocolate birthday cake too !! All the excursions booked through the hotel start from within the hotel and with lunch and snack and a smaller group. The price is more expensive than the excursions from the National Park but it is definitely worth it.

The Village House er staðsett í Kuching, í aðeins 3 mínútna göngufjarlægð frá Santubong-ströndinni og í 7 mínútna akstursfjarlægð frá Santubong-fjallinu og Sarawak-menningarþorpinu. So calm, beautiful area at rhe foot of the mountain and just in the village (there are 3 cafes and 2 v little shops for some basic bits). We did the wetlands cruise with John at the jetty in town and it was a must! 15.min walk or the staff will drive you. Also got a lift to damai beach where there are some more food places and shops and the cultural centre $20 entrance for that. Pool is great. You can borrow bikes to explore the area. Note the sea in this area is not for swimming as mangroves/crocs! Can go down the road to Damai easily enough...
