We had a wonderful stay at The Houghton Hotel during our trip to South Africa. The hotel is incredibly modern and stylish, with very spacious rooms. The bed was exceptionally comfortable—exactly what we needed after a long flight. One of the highlights was the breakfast, very tasty and lots of options. The staff were warm and welcoming throughout our stay, and we were especially grateful that they accommodated a very early check-in so we could rest right away. Although we didn’t get a chance to use the hotel’s amenities, we did take a look around and everything—from the pool area to the wellness facilities—looked top-notch and beautifully maintained. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing, upscale base in Johannesburg.

Julia at reception was equally attentive and efficient. The attention to detail and level of personal service were remarkable. Our room, complete with a stunning view and private jacuzzi, was pure indulgence. The restaurant offered excellent cuisine with a wonderful variety, complemented by a substantial wine list. Just 40 minutes from the hustle and bustle of Johannesburg, you are transported to a serene gem in nature—perfectly disconnected from the outside world. Thanks a lot.

Amazing place to stay! Pool was incredible - it was heated. Breakfast and dinner was so tasty and the pick up and drop off from the airport was so easy and handy!
