You only need one day to explore Salzburg, it’s a very old city, you don’t have much activities there, only the old town which was fine. There is many cities in Austria that are much better than Salzburg. In my opinion don’t waste your time in it.Guest review byA AlkuwariQatar - 10.0
Unexpected great discovery.
Unexpected great discovery. Visited in August and had an amazing experience, walking around the city and exploring nature around. Came by car from Luxembourg, roads were great, and not extremely busy. There are many hiking and biking trails with different degrees of difficulty just around the city, if traveling with small children, elder people or just don’t feel like walking up to the mountains, take the Nordkettenbahnen cable car from the city centre (c. 50 euros to the top), totally worth it. For some cultural activity, I recommend trying the Ambras castle. Just walking around the city and interacting with people was a great experience.Guest review byInmaSpain - 10.0

A very scenic little town, though maybe a little expensive in some places. Almost every corner you turn, you'll enjoy a nice view, and the streets are nice to wander around. It's not a very big place, so if you're physically able, it's easy to get around on foot. If you're staying outside the town centre and you're going out late, carry a torch – some paths can get quite dark. Taking a cable car up to the Aiguille du Midi is worth the price, with some breathtaking views of Mont Blanc (be prepared for the altitude – it feels very disorienting if you're not used to it). The Mer de Glace is also a nice excursion, but it's very sad to see how much of the glacier is now gone thanks to climate change. There are some fantastic restaurants to stop at. I recommend L'Index for something upscale (ask the waiters about all the local produce they use) and La Fine Bouche serves an excellent dinner. For something more casual, head to Arcus Coffee for brunch or Yak for some Nepalese cuisine (order the momo dumplings!).Guest review byMarkFrance - 10.0

Interlaken truly feels like a dream destination, the kind of place where every corner looks like it belongs on a postcard. My favorite spots were the panoramic views from Harder Kulm (tip: go up just before sunset for the most magical light) and the turquoise waters of Lake Brienz, which are stunning for both photos and a peaceful walk along the shore. When it comes to food, Interlaken has plenty of cozy restaurants and cafés. I really enjoyed trying a classic Swiss fondue, perfect after a day of exploring. For a budget-friendly option, grab fresh pastries from local bakeries in the morning; they are delicious and save you time before heading out on an adventure. Getting around is surprisingly easy. The Swiss Travel Pass or local day tickets are worth it if you plan to explore nearby towns or lakes, as public transport is punctual, scenic, and stress-free. Inside Interlaken, most places are within walking distance, so you can enjoy the views while you get around. As a solo traveler, I found Interlaken both safe and exciting. There are endless outdoor activities, but the absolute highlight was paragliding over Interlaken. Flying between the mountains with the lakes glistening below is pure magic and you will never forget it. (Tip: book a morning flight if you can; the air is calmer and the views are crystal clear.) Whether you love nature, adventure, or just soaking in the beauty of the Swiss Alps, Interlaken has something for everyone.Guest review byMohsenBelgium - 10.0
Zermatt is a lovely place to reconnect with nature.
Zermatt is a lovely place to reconnect with nature. The pure alpine air, the gorgeous scenery, the walkable village (car-free with no pollution) and the climb up to Matterhorn Glacier Paradise and Gornergrat made this trip a most memorable one. Should be on everyone's bucket list!Guest review byArlenePhilippines - 10.0

We have visited Bled on several occasions and love the lake, the Vintgarde and of course the vanilla cream slices. We have previously stayed at a large hotel very close to the lake and paid alot more money than at this hotel but I can honestly say that your hotel was far, far superior. We loved it.Guest review byMikeUnited Kingdom - 8.0
Felt like Austria in Italy.
Felt like Austria in Italy. Wonderful, relatively easy hike along the Freud Promenade (after a wonderfully long cable car ride with panoramic Alpine views) to a village where he got married and summered frequently. The Great Dolomites road was stunning. Otis the Copper Age mummy was well displayed quite interesting.Guest review byBarryUnited States - 10.0

It looks like heaven...so beautiful, but stay out of the main village for accommodations. Shop at the small local shops on the fringe. Do grocery shop to save on meals, Coop and Aldi are cheap and they the have better priced souvenirs! Be respectful of the local culture and embrace it all!Guest review bypatriciaUnited States
