Perfect location as everyday starting point of hiking trips around the region (bus stop 1 minute away). Much bigger room as usually in a hotel. Hotel personel very nice and friendly. I felt welcomed there.
Breakfast was amazing - good options to choose and never run out of food, even if you showed up closer to the breakfast time end. I definitely suggest to book also the dinner - outstanding and delicious and different every evening. Additional plus points for desserts and big thank you to all restaurant personel. It was not just about the food but the whole attitude and care they showed.
Hotel offers also Sommercard which is really useful to move around and see places.
At any chance i will recommend TUI BLUE Schladming and also hope to return there some time in the future.

We had a great stay. The room is spacious and clean. We didn't hear any noise. We opted for a half board which was a great choice. The breakfast offers a wide variety. For dinner there are fewer options but everything I tried was exceptionally good. Both breakfast and dinner are served buffet-style. The staff was very polite and the area around the hotel is very peaceful and quiet with great views from the balcony. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to come back

We like everything of this hotel, especially the dinner and breakfast are both amazing, can’t find anywhere else have the same quality for the breakfast itself, not to the mention the dinner is world-class. Also the secret garden is a surprise and we will miss our stay at this hotel.

Super friendly and helpful staff in regional dress in a fantastic location. Fabulous food also and much from local suppliers. Pool and spa were perfect, and we were lucky with the weather too. We’ll be back!

Amazing ski resort - the slopes are of incredibly high...
Amazing ski resort - the slopes are of incredibly high quality, lifts are modern and maintained to an excellent degree, and there is a huge choice of slopes - the ski pass includes five different areas, and you can even drive to Flachau and ski there as well. There is a bus that you can take to all the different locations in case you don't want to drive, and some of the ski areas are also connected by lifts. Unfortunately we went in early March, when the temperatures were really high - I saw 14 degrees on one slope! This didn't make for a great skiing experience in the afternoon as the snow was melting into a slush, so I'd recommend anyone going in early March to get half day passes and ski in the morning until lunchtime, then relax in the sauna or one of the many apres-ski bars.

One of the most beautiful places on this planet.
One of the most beautiful places on this planet. Easy to get around with the Ramsau am Dachstein Summercard and the bus and gondola systems.
Loved the gondola to the top and the Sky walk, the Stairway to Heaven and the Stairway to Nothingness.
Also liked Rittisberg and its attractions such as the Flyline, toboggan and High Ropes. The Go Karting down 7 kms of the Planai mountain was also fun

The area is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking scenery and beautiful nature all around. It is a perfect destination for anyone who enjoys spending time outdoors, whether hiking, cycling, or simply exploring the surroundings. There are plenty of opportunities for active days in nature, and the views make every trip worthwhile. We really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and the beauty of the landscape. It is definitely a place worth visiting, especially for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts.

Filzmoos is one of the most beautiful villages in Austria. The mountains around are exceptional, summer hiking is real joy there. The village has everything- lot of fancy hotels, restaurants, summer terraces, swimming pool.

Golling is a long established small town on the Salzach river and a good base for exploring Salzburg and the nearby hills / mountains. Hotels are in the small town centre plus camping and camper van facilities nearby.
Rail travel to Salzburg and on buses in Salzburg is free for holders of the Tourist Card issued without further charge to people staying at Golling hotels, This facility has recently been extended to other buses and trains over a wider area,
Golling Waterfall and the canyon (Klamm) on the Salzach river attract visitors,
There is a Water Park close to Golling.

We liked the town and the activities nearby. We used it as a location for our family to gather during a trip when we came into the area on different days and we wanted some flexibility and quiet outside of a major tourist center. In theory, the Hallein Pass gets you free bus rides and discounts. We didn't get a discount at the salt mine but we got one at the mountain slide. At the salt mine, we were told it was only a child's discount. The bus driver on the 70 bus also seemed to know nothing about the Hallein pass. We loved both the slide and the salt mine tour. The town has some things we used such as a McDonalds for our ravenous teen son coming out of a 2-week camp where he had only Austrian food, a Billa grocery store with all you need, and some good cafes that were reasonably priced. I wish I had had time to try the bakeries. It's definitely a more "chill" location than Salzburg in a good way and you can still go into Salzburg and experience all of it. Going back and forth more than once a day to Salzburg on the bus wasn't as easy as we thought. We ended up using park and ride closer into the city, which worked well because we had a rental car. You can easily walk around Hallein. Plan ahead because in Austria stores are closed on Sunday and there is a reduced bus schedule on Sunday.

For kids - Geister Wald (Ghost forest) - 4,5km long hike with fun activities for kids. Our kids loved them. Just to be aware - you need to pick up from the info center a map where kids could get stamps and also you need 2euro coin to get a wooden ball from the machine you can find just at the start of the hike.
Small store - very helpful staff, all the basics you need you find there

Schladming is a great location for skiing/snowboarding and...
Schladming is a great location for skiing/snowboarding and the restaurants, both in town and on the mountains, serve good food at reasonable prices (for ski resorts).
Train transfers are easy from larger cities (we came in from Salzburg) and the buses are frequent and convenient for moving up and down the valley.
If you want variety in your ski experience then you can't do better than basing yourself in Schladming.

Great place for cross-country skiing, walking around, enjyoing fresh air and views of the Ski amade reagion incl. magnificent Dachstein. A few places to eat, but worth it - DAS Rittis, Red Angus, Waldschenke and most probably suggested Peter Rosseger restaurant (not visited).
