It's a small and quite medieval-style town in the always beautiful Styria. It's well worth a visit. We stayed 2 nights just hiking in the surrounding area, but I understand it also has cultural offerings. There aren't many restaurant options, but the two we visited were excellent.

We were staying only overnights in the village, as we spent our time on Red Bull Ring mostly, but we liked it. It is a quiet village, so close to nature. Definitely worths spending some relaxing time here.

Excellent location, lots of possible trips around. Campsite with restaurant, wifi room, little shop, mini zoo, kids play area and fenced pool. Good distance between mobile homes. We were very happy there.

Excellent hotel and its location to ski slopes as well. Excellent maintenance of the ski slopes. The capacity of the ski lifts is very high - no crowd. Very good spa, but small swim pool - appropriate for children (but crowded by adults).

We have climbed up the hill and visited Burgruine...

We have climbed up the hill and visited Burgruine Steinschloß, which is a castle in Styria, Austria. It is the highest castle ruin in Styria at 1180 meters above sea level. The views are fantastic, we stayed until the sunset and it was ohmygodable. The nature around is so beautiful and you can easily find a bench along the road oriented toward mountains, river or church so you can sit, observe and enjoy. 30 min from Teufenbach one can visit Formula 1 race in Spielberg, there is a museum, giftshop, terrace you can rent a race car there and try it.

We received a wonderful warm welcome and our hosts (John and Marjolein) were just lovely. We really enjoyed our stay there and would always return. Parking was a breeze. The breakfasts were excellent and a great variety to choose from. Our hosts were genuinely interested in us as their guests and made us feel immediately at home and did everything to make our stay comfortable.

Nice location surrounded by mountains, shiny place. Acceptable driving distance to ski slopes (below 30 mins) - Lachtal, Kreischberg. Friendly staff, very good local meals, rich breakfast. We appreciated very much small wellness (3 types of sauna) wich was included in the price - great relax after full day skiing!

Nice area for skiing/snowboarding with many resorts nearby (with cross-used ski-passes). Children area on slopes, shops for food/drink, good restaurants on the slopes which makes it easy to have lunch/snack.

Kreischberg is a wonderful resort for family skiing and Sankt Lorenzen ob Murau is the entry point. It is accessible by train, has plenty of parking spaces, apartments, and hotels right at the end of the slopes and valley station with the ski gondolas.

St. Lambrecht is a very cultured village with an impressive baroque monastery. Beautiful surroundings ideal for walking and cycling. On the edge of the village there is a ski resort with a very pleasant family atmosphere. An ideal destination for those who appreciate the local authentic environment and prefer to spend their time outside the fancy tourist destinations.
