Hiking the GR5, this hotel was for us practically on the route, save a few tens of meters. The hotel works with self check-in, which goes pretty smoothly. Once in the room, we saw that one of the, comfortable, beds missed a duvet cover. The staff could be reached easily through WhatsApp, and before the end of the afternoon, the 'problem' was solved.
The room is large, although sparsely equipped. Everything was clean and I think the price is very reasonable. Advisable stay.

The Le Mayou was the finest property I've stayed in during my 2 weeks in Europe. I stayed for the last 5 days of my trip as all of the sites I had chosen to visit were within 20 - 30 kms away.
Comfortable rooms, great atmosphere, beautiful home, great Owner/Hosts made my stay one of my finest memories of my Bucket List Trip.

This accommodation was a true discovery. We were simply looking for a room with breakfast to spend the night on our journey, but once we arrived, I instantly regretted that we had to continue on the next morning.
The host was exceptionally kind, the breakfast delightful and plentiful, and the room itself was spacious and an absolute pleasure to stay in, even if only for one night.
We’ve already recommended this place to friends, and we certainly hope to return the next time we visit this area.

As a firearms enthusiast and gunsmith I would have loved to see the FN factory and museum.
Unfortunately I was there for work and didn’t have much time to explore the area well.
However on daily trips to work we saw a fair bit of the immediate surroundings .
Maastricht was suitably close for an afternoon’s visit, walkabout , supper and buying chocolate for the family at home 😊

We stayed in Herstal during a city trip to Hasselt, Tongeren and Alden Biesen. Fantastic deal! Close to the motorway but no noise of traffic in the room. Indoor and outdoor pool, sauna and hamam for free even after checking out. Great for the weekend (2 nights). We'll be back!
