The staff is absolutely amazing. They will bend over backwards to make sure that you are happy and content and well taken care of. Jose is absolutely adorable and his wife is very helpful as well although we didn’t get to know her as well. I’m sure she was doing all the work behind-the-scenes. Please tell Jose and the gang we said hello when you go to visit

Staying at Sea Dreams was quite literally a dream. Perfect location. Rustic and cozy, laid-back vibe. The nicest staff, that were especially accomodating to our young-ish children. The breakfast is super as well, and they did not flinch in accomodating meals to our youngest who is allergeric to dairy. Thanks for a magical stay, we will be back.

Nice place just by the coast, comfortably outside of the sometimes manic golf cart dreadlock of the town center. The walk on the beach side to dead center is about 15ish minutes, 10ish to the first restaurants. Has a good chilling area outside with a palapa, chairs and hammocks. Thw staff is lovely and helped us with snorkeling tours and golf cart rental. The room was roomy with two beds and a desk + a minifridge. There are good breakfast options a few blocks walk toward the town and a nice coffee stand within premises which opens a bit later in the morning for people who don't usually wake up at 6am like us.The beach bar outside is far enough away that there is no sound pollution from there coming to the rooms (at least to the Casa Blanca building where we were). Decent internet for an island location: 26.90MB/s down, 25.17MB/s up, with 44ms latency.

Due to a leak in our room from the high winds and rain we were upgraded to a room with a full kitchen and living space. Also it had a large balcony with a view of the water. It was great to have all the extra room and cooking space. The place also offered laundry service for free. Very close to restaurants and bars. Staff helped arrange a golf cart rental to get around. Also assisted with taxi to and from the condo.

The breakfast (food in general) was hot and fresh! The staff was so accommodating and welcoming! My friend lost her phone on the last day after checkout and the villa staff went above and beyond to help locate the phone! The owner personally inquired about the situation as well. They called, sent updates and was able to send the phone back to us in record time! Love this peaceful place and tasty food & drinks. I will be back again! Much love to my belizean family there after my week stay lol

Nice little island near Belize City, with many hotels and resorts, many good restaurants serving fresh seafood, especially Conch.and fish... I took a tour for US$50, snorkeling and swimming with the sharks!!! My new resort has a pool and a private beach. What I liked most was its secret island, the only place where you can go to the beach in all of Belize. What I liked least was the people, they are not very friendly, they are rather unpleasant and not very communicative when it comes to helping travelers.

I love the restaurant Celebrity it's close to the Belize Museum on Regent street which was a former prison. The food is excellent. It's very easy to get around Belize city by taxi. We paid a taxi 10 BZ dollars to take us from the bus terminal to the Museum that's about 5 US. I called the chauffeur later on in the afternoon to take us to town and we were dropped at the park in the center of town. We walked around the park and sat on a chair under a tree, we visited the inner stores on Albert street. What I like about Belize, there are restrooms every where and the people are friendly. You can ask them anything they will help you out. We walked on the market on Saturday, got some hot bread by the bakery and coffee next door. I loved Altun Ha. Our guide was arranged by the guesthouse Casa de Shangri-La.

We had an absolutely wonderful time during our stay at Belize Resort and Spa! My husband and I came Labor Day weekend for a baby moon trip. To begin, Melanie was a sweetheart! She answered all of my questions quickly and helped us arrange everything we wanted to do, including airport transportation, local shopping, and the spa. The food was DELICIOUS and the plates had large portions. We even got to bring our dessert back to our room to relax and enjoy. The only other thing we wished we could have done was a tour or two, however being late into my pregnancy, this trip was more for relaxation. We enjoyed the couples mud massage which was relaxing and unique. We have so many pictures from our spa day. The pool was relaxing and made for a great backdrop for pictures as well. The room was clean and gave us an authentic feel during our stay in Belize. We will definitely visit again, making room to enjoy the tours next go around. Travel Tip: Don’t forget your bug spray! It is a jungle resort and the mosquitoes are merciless without it.

Ya GOTTA LOVE the tropical weather, you can't beat the longest barrier reef in the Northern Hemisphere, and that's the best diving I've experienced in several decades. This was my first visit to Ambergris Caye, & San Pedro - what was initially surprising to me very quickly became one of my favorite things about the location. Many oceanview beachfront houses are not resorts, isolated from local residents. You are right in the mix with neighbors: locals going about their daily business (non-tourist and tourist alike), schoolkids walking by, deliveries, construction happening, etc. I enjoy living like a local (sorta), although some folks might not. San Pedro beaches skew commercial/industrial: numerous docks; dock-restaurants; beach cafe; van, taxi and golf-cart traffic on the beach; sand parking lots; powerlines; & sargasso weed extending out up to 50 yds out from shore - it takes a moment to get used to, this ain't Zona Hotel in Cancun. Many hotels & resorts loom over off-beach buildings behind it, which mostly are the typical tropical unfinished, mildewy concrete buildings with rusty rebar poking out, lots of laundry lines, and rusted car parts and tools in the yard. I found this familiar and charming but some may not.

If you like physical activity--tubing, hiking--this a a great place for you to go.Belize is somehow in transition. They have "tourist-cized" many of their natural wonders into "fun" events, but they have not focused on the history. The city seems to cater to the cruise ships, a pretty awful entity, but one that can pay the bills. I had the feeling much of what I saw was a facade. This diverse country is irrevocably beautiful but, to me, it has been "Kardashianed" or is somewhere on the road to having that done to it. This is unwise, but it is what we have in this world right now. The people are beautiful, even the unscrupulous cab drivers and one young "guard" at the ferry terminal. I liked the country, but I will not return.
