Located just 328 feet from the sea, this charming colonial hotel offers spacious rooms with free Wi-Fi. The historic Fort Point Lighthouse is a 2-minute walk away. Nice, clean and great service. The guys help the suitcase carry up in second floor. Very friendly.
Just 328 feet from Belize City’s seafront, The Red Hut Inn features a terrace and simple accommodations with free Wi-Fi. Love all the convincence of being picked up at the airport to a wonderful dinner and breakfast.very friendly owners and staff and had a good night rest in a quiet environment after a long day of traveling.
Golden Tree Hotel is located in Belize City, 2.6 miles from Belize Harbor. The property provides a fitness center, free WiFi and a 24-hour front desk. Guests at the hotel can enjoy a buffet breakfast.... From the front desk greeting to the helpful goodbyes this was a pleasant experience in a not so attractive area of Belize. The 9th floor open air swimming pool and relaxing area was a surprise. Our room on the 5th floor was clean and comfortable.
Featuring free WiFi, New Chon Sing Restaurant & Guest House offers rooms in Belize City, 3.1 mi from Belize Harbor. All rooms boast a flat-screen TV with cable channels and a private bathroom. My boyfriend and I spent about 3 nights at the guest house and we honestly don’t have any complaints. It was clean and it had everything we needed. We didn’t spend any time really in the room during the day. We only were there at night and it fulfilled its purpose. It’s super close to the water taxi. Chris was super nice and even gave us some coupons for the water taxi which was a big help because we are visiting both islands.
Bamboleo Inn Belize is located on a canal that leads to the Caribbean Sea in Belize City. Free WiFi access is available as well as free use of bicycles. I loved the room we stayed in, the cleanliness of the home AND the owners .....Kathy and Greg! They are AWESOME!

If you do not have business meetings in the city, it is the natural connection point to the more touristy destination with rich culture or beaches. It is a service industry place and people are trying to make a living.
The city was busy, small and the locals are nice. The Midtown restaurant was so good. The south side of town is not very safe at night. There was always cab service, just regular cars, some old some more updated. I would never drive there, to crazy. Water taxis are great to go to the islands. Our tour guide Emmanuel (Manny) Williams ph.501-601-9261, was great and knew the history of the places we went. Very patient. When we go back we really want to have him take us to the south of the country, there is much more to see.
Definitely not what I expected. Very poor run down city. Delapidated builds. Very smelly. No road rules or public safety. Dead rats on side of the road. Feels very much like Tijuana Mexico. Decent food is hard to come by.
Bustling city - safe to walk around during daylight hours. Lots to see & do - markets, local food, architecture, banks, cell phone stores, and new department store. There are two ports to catch a ferry to Caye Caulker & San Pedro. Wonderful ferry rides (approx 1 & 1/2 hrs) where safety and reliable crew are their first priority. I can recommend Martha's Restaurant near the Lighthouse.
Belize City (and Belize) is not for the faint of heart. It’s an adventure only for the true adventurer. Do not expect Western amenities. Leave your expectations with you when you take off from your home country and understand that this is an experience unto itself. If you love comfort and all the things you are used to (ie. Starbucks, plush hotels, cleanliness) then go to Orlando. There is an element of feeling unsettled because it is a poor country and you will very likely stand out.
Belize city isn't the safest and even the locals will tell you that. We had to stay there for a night before our early flight, so just check the safety of your hotel and what we did was taxi directly from the water taxi to the hotel and then directly to the airport in the morning. We were advised by the locals not to walk around at night. I'd recommend passing through here on your way to other destinations like the Caye's or San Ignacio.

Very close to water taxi, the staffs are very friendly and very helpful. Room is clean and has air conditioning and private bathroom. We arrived on Sunday so almost everything was closed in the city. So we talked to staff and gave us a menu of delivery food. And has a bar on roof top!! So you don’t have to go walk around to look for a bar! Very friendly staffs and they treated us as like a family :) I will stay here again when I come to Belize City!! Thank you for everything Caribbean Palms Inn!!!

Chris, my fellow namesake, was absolutely brilliant. The fact the place is situated opposite the water taxi terminal and tourist village is sensational! The restaurant attached is also cheap and delicious. The room is clean, very secure, quiet and cool - perfect for a short stay in Belize City and ideal for being able to get shuttle buses/water taxis at any time.

The staff members are fantastic and a breakfast is a great, which met my expectation. There is a cozy and beautiful garden along with the cannel next to it. Recommend this place if you stay in Belize City.

Walking distance from Water taxi. Not expensive. Definitely a budget hotel, but they don't claim to be more than that. Staff was very nice and it was very clean.

This place is everything you need in a B&B... the staff are helpful and so friendly . You are greeted with a fresh limeade and a cooling towelette. This is our 2nd time here to stay overnight for our flight back to Canada. The breakfast is good, the beds are comfy and the whole place is CLEAN!!! The nice Jacuzzi / pool is a great touch. Villa Boscardi is close to the seaside and it was lovely to walk and see the shorebirds close by. Also the staff recommended a good restaurant on the Seashore- Belmari... good Italian! The manager was quick to call our transport the next day and because we were Villa Boscardi clients, there was a 20% discount on the fare. Very nice! We will be back, Cookie and Christine

Every part of this experience from the the moment we stepped out of the airport to the moment we stepped back in for our return was exceptional. The staff is the perfect amount of professional and friendly, the bungalow was super cute and comfortable, the food was delicious, and the beach and sea were divine. Very chill and relaxing. Exactly what we needed!! We grabbed some bottles of booze from duty free and a couple of snacks from a store along the way which was nice to have once we got on the island. Have already recommended this place to my beach loving friends!

It was very relaxing. It is a small island with no other resorts or businesses and the only place you get wifi is at the bar/dining hall. This helped to get to know other travellers staying there. The staff were super friendly and helpful with anything we wanted. The ground was swept clean everyday and the room was made up while we were at breakfast.
