This is now my second time staying at the Holiday Inn at Port Elgin and I really love my stays here. The staff are extremely friendly and warm. There is so much lounge space in the lobby and restaurant area, and the rooms are incredibly spacious. The breakfast is so generous too! Love staying here.

The property exceeded expectations across several key performance indicators. The staff demonstrated a high level of professionalism and hospitality, creating a seamless guest experience from check-in to check-out. The rooms were impeccably clean, well-appointed, and designed with both comfort and functionality in mind. Amenities such as the fitness center, spa, and on-site dining options contributed to an elevated stay. Location was strategic—close to major attractions yet quiet enough for relaxation. Overall, a high-value offering that delivers on both service and experience.

Friendly people, perfect summer climate.

Friendly people, perfect summer climate. Unfortunately provincial highway 21 is the main street. Traffic going north and south congests' s everything. Restricted parking downtown. Traveler's using the road need to obey the speed limit's. No sign of the police enforcing speed limits. Port Elgin has a lot of good dining spots, there is no shortage.

I like Kincardine and visited it before.

I like Kincardine and visited it before. The bad experience was with the Save Inn motel which I do not recommend to anyone! I booked two rooms 12 days in advance and when I got there they had all rooms booked and occupied so I had do return home a 2.5hr trip. It ruined our weekend. Unforgivable!

We have always loved Southampton.

We have always loved Southampton. Use to live there and had a cottage for many years. Quaint, pretty town with many wonderful people, shops and things to do. Always come back every year to have picnic in pioneer park or go the flea market, bakery and hear the Piper down by the flag. We love to attend the Annual Pumpkin Fest Car Show held in the adjacent town of Port Elgin. Miss living in Southampton and it will be an annual road 🛣️ trip for us. Our grandson was married at Fairy Lake and had their reception at the old Town Hall. They have also returned to Southampton from time to time. Everyone should make Southampton a once in a lifetime place for a summer ⛱️🌞 vacation. We are our dinner at Lord Elgin in Port Elgin. Fabulous fish, shrimps and service.

We love beautiful quaint Wiarton and the gorgeous Bruce Peninsula and miss being up here on bi-yearly visits to family and friends. We always go to Bluewater Park and tour around the places we know and love. Very easy to get around but if coming up highway 6N or even the 7N, get your gas in Hepworth as there is no longer a gas station in Wiarton to fill up before leaving- how weird is that? We ordered pizza and it came vey fast and was hot and tasty. We will be back of course as we have so much family history and wonderful memories in Wiarton and the whole area

The Lodge was fine.

The Lodge was fine. If you are going to spend time at beach, this location is perfect. The room was clean, bathroom was brand new. The room also had a full fridge and microwave . The property also had a swimming pool, great for families. We did notice there were bbq on site. Definitely recommend! Close enough to the "downtown area shopping

I don't recommend to visit Tobermory( 3to 4 hours drive), big issue is food and very very expensive. Quality is no good, I tried fish and chips almost $ 23 each meal( 2 different restaurants) and waste of money. My stay at Motel Big tub is great but they don't have breakfast and no restaurants close by. There is no food chains like Tim's, McDonald's, Wendy's and no gas stations...you will find them after 60km. Everything is over charged. Hard to find washroom as well. Local coffee shops are just ok. A boat tour per person $75 too expensive and not much worth it. It is my first experience to Tobermory Sorry I have to be honest . Thank you

A group of friends have been hiking the Bruce Trail and we needed a place big enough to accommodate us. It was great to have the hot tub for post-hike relaxation. Beautiful view, beautiful and comfortable spot even in November!

Lived there for 7 years in late 70’s and early 80’s! Big changes since then! No more the cute little town where you knew most everyone. It certainly has become very multicultural. Pleased to see no homeless! Sad to see Harbourlight closed for a few days!

Very nice small town vibe. Love the downtown area

Very nice small town vibe. Love the downtown area Lots of little shops to discover. Lots of pub/restaurants to either sit in or on the patio. The patio at The Bruce has a nice back patio overlooking the marina. The breeze was a little cool but it would be a great place to watch the sunset on a hot summer night.

South Hampton has great places to eat.

South Hampton has great places to eat. There's a fantastic breakfast place called the Light House. Also had delicious Chinese food at a dine in restaurant. The local Bruce County Museum is also very interesting to see. There are many beaches to explore near by. Some have washrooms and changing room. Get a local map and explore the surroundings. It's only 12 minutes drive to Saugeen Beach, formerly named Sauble Beach.
