The hotel room was absolutely amazing , it had everything we needed a big comfortable bed a very usable kitchen a great big bathroom a lounge room as well as a dining table it was fantastic. The breakfast in the morning was on the top floor so you had an amazing view but the room itself was just awesome so cozy in the winter and the food was fantastic as was the lady who looked after us at the breakfast she was amazing

The staff were friendly and helpful with planning and suggestions. They recommended the Schnuggebock restaurant (only accessible by car), which was a fun experience and good food. The mini bar in the room was useful. The lobby had a good selection of snacks and drinks. The view was fantastic and the sleep was quiet. The location is perfect for visiting the Ebenalp area, which is not to be missed. Free parking.

We always try to stay in a boutique hotel when we travel. This ticks all the boxes from room to facilities and the most friendlies of staff. Back after a couple of years and still has the Bora relaxing feeling. They have made some improvements and changes since our last visit and some are really good. The new extension on the sky bar so even when weather not great it still makes an excellent location for a cosy drink at the end of the day. The new rest rooms so even more places to chill after the saunas and pool. The restaurant serves good food and the chef will make almost all the dishes gluten frei if asked. The staff will provide gluten frei rolls for breakfast when asked and there is muelsi that is GF as well. Always tidy and organised. We have had nothing but helpful staff in hotel and sauna. Love this hotel and facility. Always a shame when we need to go home and feels a long time till our next visit at Christmas.

Breakfast was delicious and so very beautifully presented. Lots of choice and delicacies to sample. Coffee was excellent too. We had a room with a garden view on first floor which was quiet and peaceful. The staff were all very hospitable and helpful. We spoke only basic German but most were fluent in English. We were delighted to be offered a drink and snack on our arrival, lovely touch. Facilities were excellent, clean and well maintained. Excellent convenient location away from the harbor noise and ferry terminal, but only a 5-7 minute walk to old town. We did not have an opportunity to enjoy a dinner/meal at the hotel restaurant, next time!

The hotel is on the lake-side. You can park in the hotel entrance (just a few spaces) or in the road outside. We were able to have a long walk along the promenade (and even saw some brave soul swimming in November). The scenery across the lake to the alps is epic? Our room had lots of extras that you wouldn't get in an ordinary hotel such as a minibar with free water, snacks and a Nespresso machine. The bed was one of the most comfortable that we have ever slept in. It's a short walk from the town and there are a couple of places to eat within 5 minutes walk of the hotel. The person who met us at reception was lovely.

This is a great place! Beautiful location, and the staff takes excellent care of it. Clean modern rooms with nice views. The restaurant offers several options for dinner and all of excellent taste. Local products are used. Great advice from the sommeliere for Austrian wines. Excellent breakfast. Huge spa area, swimming pool and garden. Hiking, biking, sightseeing - lots of options nearby. Staff is polite, friendly and well-trained.

Lindau was a nice 2 day visit - unfortunately, virtually none of the museums and sites accept the Bodensee Plus Card - a rather expensive 3 or 7 day pass that was sold by the Lindau Tourist Information Center - that was a surprise. Very easy to drive to Brengenz Austria for their offerings.

Since the city was completely bombed during WW2, it’s not filled with historical landmarks and old buildings. There are definitely nicer cities around Bodensee. If you’re choosing Bodensee as your final destination, FN shouldn’t be the town to go.

We liked the beauty of Bregenz which is situated alongside Lake Constance. There are nice restaurants & cafes, shops, walks, boats etc and we enjoyed the cable car ride to see the small farm, great for children and the views of the mountains are spectacular. The area is excellent for cyclists & runners, and for people with mobility issues. There are ferries which go to the small German island of Lindau, which is worth a visit and it takes 20-30 minutes. Quite a few of the cafes shops and restaurants are closed on a Sunday.

The abbey complex is the place you want to see if you are interested in history: the museum, the vault and the library are amazing and absolutely worth the visit (and the price, that is even cheap). Getting around the town is easy, both walking and using the public transportation. If you arrive by car, remember that a great part of the center is not accessible, but there are parking areas open 24/7 that cost 20 CHF for 24h.

Wonderful city with its own character and atmosphere. People are friendly, there are a lot of places to visit and see, everything is centrally located or easily reachable by foot, train or bus. Worth a visit!

We visited friends here and enjoyed the views over the lake and wandering around the waterfront. The city is known for the obvious focus of boating, bathing, and relaxing, but we also found a nice, downtown with historical charm. Try the Muenster St, Nikolaus for relics and an up-close trip back in time, and then explore the old town around it.

Meersburg is one of our favorite towns.

Meersburg is one of our favorite towns. It has everything: Medival castle, a fantastic boardwalk on the lake, apple orchards, winyards with a winery, excellent restaurants & bars, boating marina, ferry to other parts of the lake, the list goes on. A very charming and picturesque town.

Lovely town, & near to lots of other nice towns which can...

Lovely town, & near to lots of other nice towns which can easily be reached free by bus or train using the Bodensee card obtained from the hotel. Bike rental is easy to do, swimming in the lake is possible, boat trips on the lake are very nice too

Konstanz is a brilliant place to stay for a few nights on an...

Konstanz is a brilliant place to stay for a few nights on an interrailing trip. You can visit Lichtenstein within 1.5 hours on train, and same with Rheinfalls, Schaffhausen. Great for daytrips, and then returning in the evening, Konstanz comes alive with beautiful lights and the pier. It's very easy to get around at the main train station, and the old town is beautiful, and it's fun to be able to walk across the border to Switzerland. Would recommend for travellers/interrailing.
