Hotel Maria’s individually decorated rooms overlook the forest or the valley. They feature wooden furniture, satellite TV, and a bathroom. Excellent menu, preparation, and presentation of the evening meals all three days. Also, an extensive wine list. Overall, the restaurant for the evening meals was very good and a good value. Breakfast was suitable but not above average. I seem to recall an extra charge for an egg cooked to order.

Lovely staff, very clean, fabulous garden patio for eating out in the summer. Good transport links with bus stop outside and short walk to amenities in Sils Maria or to the lake to swim.
