Lenk is a very nice place to spend time.
Lenk is a very nice place to spend time. There are lots of possibilities for excursions. In summer there is an excellent tour (about five hours or even a bit more; you do have to stick to a break every hour) from the Wallis, Lac de Tseuzier over the pass of Rawil over to Lenk. However for this trip you need to be absolutely sure that the weather is good the entire day that you do not get surprised by a thunderstorm! For further ideas just ask with the Tourist Office of Lenk. There are really lots of things to do at Lenk. E.G. there are organized tours to watch birds of the alps. Zweisimmen's location is great, you can do so many things...
Zweisimmen's location is great, you can do so many things within 1 hour driving from Zweisimmen. We had a lot of fun. We visited Thun, Interlaken, Gstaad, everywhere you look it is beautiful. Waterfalls, hanging bridges. We also used the train, very nice panoramic view. We loved the whole experience. In 9 days we could not do everything we had planned, we definitely have to go back to Zwitserland and I would not mind staying in this area again.Guest review byNareshCuraçao - 10.0

The location was very good with lovely views all around and...
The location was very good with lovely views all around and it was easy to get to the next village, Zweisimmen, which had a cable car so we could go walking high up in the mountains. There is also an impressive waterfall a few miles down the road that is worth visiting. I love it.
I love it. I have been there several times throughout my childhood and teenage years (so beware my opinion is biased). There are lots of hiking and mountain biking options available with differing degrees of difficulty. But you can also take the gondola or bus for the main attractions if you want to take it easy. It's a nice place for people with kids as well as older people. A nice village with all necessary things/ shops available (just be aware of opening hours; shorter than city ones). It is a well-managed place with a lot of respect for nature. 5-minute walk away there is a very friendly park with attractions for children. wide variety of mountain trails, variety of dining options. the inhabitants and tourism staff are friendly and helpful. I would do the property disservice by attempting to describe...
I would do the property disservice by attempting to describe the wondrous place that Rinderberg is. Must see with your own eyes. We did not do it as we weren't aware of it, but for those arriving before 16.30, parking in the village (Zweisimmen) and taking the cablecar (gondola) up to the hotel is almost a magical experience. And the Rinderberg peak is simply breathtaking. Hotel services were impeccable, staff friendly, and it has a very good restaurant within the premises. Just ensure you have your Gstaad card is handy if you have one, otherwise register for it before you arrive. Life becomes that much simpler with it than without.Guest review byPrakashSwitzerland
