- From $161.36 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.1Very Good - What previous guests thought, 37 reviewsSituated between the blue waters of the Golfo Dulche, and the green canopies of the Corcovado National park, lies a little piece of paradise... You wake up in the morning to the sound of monkeys, Scarlet Macaws and a variety of other birds. You get up, make yourself a cup of coffee. You step outside, sit down, and let the warm rays of the Costa Rican sun slowly, but gently bring you back from a good long sleep. You shower, get dressed, and make your way through the lush tropical garden and across a small wooden bridge. And just as you get close to the main building of the property, a big, deep and warm voice greet you " Hello Asger, how are you this morning"?. That is the voice of Andrew, the owner of this magnificent place. Him and his lovely wife, are some of the kindest and most welcoming people you will ever meet. And if staying at a tropical place like this, shouldn't be enough to put a smile on you face, their personalities definitely will. I can't recommend this place enough. Whether you stay for a day or a week, this place is bound to have an everlasting impact on you, and make you want to return.... Pura Vida.Guest review byThorulfDenmark
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.6Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 208 reviewsEverything was above our expectations. The food was very good and all the staff were exceptional. We did a guided tour and it was great. The hiking trails allow you to see so much wildlife and it’s away from the city which is great. It’s a hidden gem and we will definitely be returning. The pics don’t do it justice it is very beautiful and the rooms are gorgeous. Very clean and you can tell they really focus on being ecological and caring about the environment. We stayed at other hotels during our trip but this one topped them all and had the best food! They have vegetarian options on the menu as well which were great.Guest review byMary JoGuatemala

Puerto Jiménez served as a rest-over before going to, and when coming from a trip to Corcovado Nat'l Park. We were able to take and ride bikes from the hotel to restaurants and to look around (the walkway to the pier was torn up so we had to go the long way around and the bikes came in super handy). The staff was friendly and could answer all our questions.Guest review byBarbaraUnited States - 10.0
Amazonia's Ecolodge is a true Amazon Rainforest Experience.
Amazonia's Ecolodge is a true Amazon Rainforest Experience. Highly recommend a 4WD to get here especially if it is raining. It is a 20 minute drive from Puerto Jimenez and the last section (about half a mile) can be challenging the first time around. The place is quite remote and a fun place to stay if you want to enjoy the rainforest. The cabin we stayed in was located in the rainforest on the edge of the Corcovoda NP. There is a kitchen to cook simple meals. The cabin had a refrigerator as well. You can make your own drip coffee. Meals are offered by the caretaker's family in another house downhill on the property. There is no Wifi available in the cabin but is available at the caretaker's house. Recommend having home cooked meals at the caretaker's place. Good food and friendly folks but none of them speak English. We were able to get by with very little Spanish. A guide is available on request. Guide speaks English and will come to the Ecolodge to arrange and take you on tours. We went on several tours with the local guide and were happy with the service. Saw a lot of frogs on the night walk close to the property. Overall a pleasant and out of the normal experience. If you love to stay and experience the rainforest this is the place.Guest review byShafeekUnited States - 10.0

A quiet, under-developed tropical destination, immersed in the rainforest. There is no town per se, just properties immersed in green. Wonderful beaches, no one around for miles. The nearest bar / restaurant is 45 min away by car on a bad road. The nearest store is in Puerto Jimenez. Patchy cell phone reception. Spectacular nature, all around: birds, butterflies, monkeys.Guest review bySusanUnited States - 10.0

I wish I could have stayed longer. Make sure to visit Backwash beach and Mar Luna Lodge/Martinas for dinner. The hosts are impeccable, and the facilities are everything you need and more. DO yourself a favor and book here.Guest review byFernandoCosta Rica - 8.0
It is a lovely little town.
It is a lovely little town. We stayed about 3 km outside of La Palma directly at the beach Playa Blance, we loved it there. We went into town a few times for shopping, getting out money (at one of the supermarkets) and to eat in one of the Sodas, the food there was excellent. The people in the town were so friendly.Guest review byMichaelaAustria - 10.0
Puerto Jiménez is a busy little town.
Puerto Jiménez is a busy little town. It is very laid back and has a slight 'Wild West' feel about it. The people we met were super friendly and helpful. There's a small airport for light aircraft and a pier where you catch public boats to various destinations. We will go back there again soon!Guest review byIvanideaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

A gorgeous community that has retained a local Tico feel; expats and tourists are definitely in the minority. I never felt unsafe even walking alone at night. Unfortunately, I did not have enough time to walk all the extensive jungle trails in Bolita and the Corcovado National Park. But, those I did walk to led me to magical waterfalls, swimming holes and amazing views. The wildlife is plentiful. I saw 3 of the 4 monkeys that live in Costa Rica and woke in the morning to the sounds of the 4th, the howlers calling in the distance. Toucans, hummingbirds and macaws are everywhere. Not to mention the incredible number of other slightly less showy birds, amphibians, reptiles and insects. Dos Brazos was an incredible find and I will definitely be back.Guest review byMelJersey - 8.0

We had the luxury of spending nearly an entire month on the Osa Peninsula of Costa Rica - the first two weeks near Drake Bay and the last two weeks in Puerto Jimenez. If you have to choose one over the other, I would go with Puerto Jimenez, which has several advantages: a full grocery store if you're doing your own cooking, nicer beaches with finer sand as opposed to broken shells and sharp stones and, an airport within walking distance to the town. Both towns are safe and tourist-friendly and offer a wide variety of excursions including access to Corcavado National Park but Puerto Jimenez, with its paved streets and better restaurants is my choice.Guest review byJamesUnited States - 10.0
Dos Brazos is a great place to explore the rainforest.
Dos Brazos is a great place to explore the rainforest. There is a wealth of birds an butterflies. Public transport is limited though so if you are wanting to do activities on the beach or on the sea then maybe Puerto Jimenez is better.Guest review byThomasUnited Kingdom
