Nice and helpful staff. Clean. Great location and beatiful surroundings. Free parking outside. Plenty to choose from in the breakfast buffet, great taste.

The room was fine, beds comfortable and basic bathroom facilities. I would hope for a little more given the price but overall the hostel is acceptable.

The room is clean,cleaned everyday even if you don’t put signage on the door.Breakfast has a lot of variety and you can cook your own breakfast!(which is new experience for me) Deposited Luggages (before check-in or after check-out)are very safe

This is one of the best hostels I have stayed in the world. It is very clean and has helpful front desk people. There is an excellent all you can eat free breakfast buffet and also an excellent all you can eat supper which costs a nominal 12 euro dollars. The hostel is surrounded by woods and beautiful German alp mountain views. Your receipt allows you free travel on local Berchtesgaden buses and even a free train ticket to Salzburg, Austria

Wonderful apartment in a stunning location - just over the backside of the hill from downtown Berchtesgaden. 10 minute walk with some steepness but not a problem. About 3 minute drive to Salt Mine and to downtown. Nice kitchen and bathroom, plenty of space and small balcony. Pool and spa as well! And parking! My 5th trip to Berchtesgaden but first time NOT in the youth hostel, and this changes the experience so wonderfully!

We got there late, there was a note and key on the door. Was easy to find and park at. The view is exceptional, it's the reason to book it, you cannot beat it. I wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy all afternoon and morning. The rooms were spacious and the bed was comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful, opening the pool up for us in the morning. Good options for breakfast. It isn't cheap if you're on a budget, but for the view itself, it's worth it! Even for a night in the area, it's A MUST STAY.
