The room design is phenomenal and it feels like every little thing was planned for the best experience. We traveled with our 7 year old and had a wonderful time. It was a really special hotel experience that we will all remember. The breakfast wasn't one of the most rich ones I've had but it was really nice to sit there and everything we had was tasty.

We stayed one night. Nice and helpful personell and a nice clean room. Close to the harbor. We arrived late due to traffic and it was a bit hard to find a restaurant. Parking cost 10€ a night.

We chose this hotel because it was right next to a beautiful park. It was a truly green, beautiful place.Public transport to all parts of the city is close by, yet it is also convenient for parking a car.The rooms feature a standard hotel design, but they are clean and renovated. The shower with electronic temperature control was a real attraction .Beautiful lobby, restaurant.It was a real pleasure to sit in the small spa after a long day of traveling. And most importantly—very delicious croissants and salmon for breakfast. We asked for a room on a high floor, and to our great delight, we got the very top floor.Friendly staff, check-in at any time.

I booked a Water View Superior Room for a night. The view from the balcony was exceptional, and the personnel was very accomodating. I was traveling alone from Belgium to Denmark, and wanted to leave as early as possible as I had a long road ahead. The possibility to check out at any hour, even in the middle of the night, was highly appreciated

The Becks brewery trip was good and the Schnoor district was great with antique and art shops and a store selling jazz vinyl. The cathedral and market square are worth seeing but there's not much else. Works great as a stopover rather than a destination. Food at Edel Weiss and Ständige Vertretung Rheinland was excellent.

Bremerhaven has an outstanding Museum about the migration of thousands of people who left Germany and Europe in general to travel to the USA etc last century. Well worth a visit. There's also a shipping museum and a small museum about the Cog ship. Excellent.

We are lucky enough to have friends in Bremen who showed us...

We are lucky enough to have friends in Bremen who showed us around. The cathedral tower is open in May, but you could ask to go up outside the season, which we did. Great views. We found the Market the best place to eat, with food from many countries. We also recommend Bar Celona for a buzzing atmosphere. Bremer Ratskeller is worth a visit at 11am before the crowds arrive. Explore the far end to see Dionysus, and also sit in one of the cosy boxes with coffees. If you like art, get out to Worpswede artist colony, a lovely little country town, then visit the Paula Modersohn-Becker Museum in Bremen, within an amazing architectural gem. Lots more to do, but don't forget Schnoor, with its narrow streets and little shops

Everything about this city is about seafaring, now and in the past. You have to go there to experience the multitude of attractions, no other Port in the world can match Bremerhaven in maritime related visitors attractions.

I only really went for a day to meet a friend of mine...

I only really went for a day to meet a friend of mine studying there. It was good for what it was as a short trip in an interesting new town and country. Was a good first day trip internationally. As a solo traveller I would generally recommend, if you are from London, it gives a larger Camden town vibe with it's diverse buildings. Town centre was beautiful, Lime scooters for easy travel, trams were great, food was pretty decent, some good drinking spots (recommend Litfass especially if you'd like to play chess)

We enjoyed walking around the harbour but we bought a boat...

We enjoyed walking around the harbour but we bought a boat trip and the address on the ticket was the office of the company not the departure so we missed the boat! Please be careful and see if you have the correct address. We visited the U boat submarine, the ticket is 4 euros and the kids enjoyed looking inside this historical boat.
