Great hotel. Fabulous Breakfast. Comfortable Bed. Good Wifi. Lovely bathroom. And a piece of cake in the afternoon. Also it was right next to the station so when my train didn't arrive I could pop back and drink some more tea until the next train came. Really great. I'd like to return especially for the breakfast.

Tönning is a small town with some interesting spots for a short trip, even in the fall/winter season. We visited the 'Multimar Wattforum', a very interesting and informative exhibition about the 'Wattenmeer', that can be visited at all weather conditions. We visited the beach of St. Peter Ording and spent some time in Husum. Both locations are easily reachable by train (hourly commuter train). We will come back in summer to enjoy the swimming pool, the North Sea beaches and potentially the Danish neighborhood.

The beach is incredible. Really.

The beach is incredible. Really. The restaurants are ridiculously expensive and the offer is very narrow. Curry worst €10.50! Simple salads €18.50. And if you consider that Fish Sandwiches are food you’re in luck, because that is really about it. That and Italian food. The only "good" meal I had was down on the beach at Arche Noah and it was pasta, of course. The "Baths" are a bit thin on the ground. Not a spa at all. Not even close. But something to do when it is raining, though you may have to wait 2 hours to get in.
