A new property(one month old). Very clean and everything is new. They had a Netflix account for guests we could use. Breakfast was very nice. Swimming pool (oval, ~6x3) with a shower and sun beds. Dry sauna, free, with a shower toilet and beds but the highlight here are the hosts! Very service minded and patient and take the time to explain everything and answered all our questions. We were even lucky to use a free public transport promotion they had during this period that the host arranged for us, and, they speak excellent English, something that we couldn’t easily say during our trip and we had many accommodations. You could feel they were very passionate about their business and really lovely people!

Check in very fast and friendly. Very clean room with bottles of water, no coffee or tea but coffee machine at the entrance. Nice bathroom with good towels, backside room has no noise from Highway A4 near the hotel. Breakfast is great with excellent coffee and great view to the garden. Enough space to park the car.

Our second stay at this hotel. Its in a lovely rural situation but with easy access from the motorway. The room was large and comfortable and had windows to 3 aspects (room no. 2). It was situated over the main entrance, but we didn't hear any noise. The restaurant is very relaxed but delightful. The expansive breakfast was included, we also enjoyed a relaxing dinner when we arrived. It is a unique hotel , an old property with updated facilities but still retains its character. Friendly welcoming staff, very clean comfortable room. Excellent value. Free parking

The property is pretty and quite new. One of the owners was nice enough to welcome us from the parking lot. They don’t have a lot of rooms, but each room is big and newly renovated so it’s perfect for people who don’t like crowds. The room was quite comfortable although I do wonder how it would be in summer because I didn’t notice air conditioning - our room had sound proof windows but when the window was opened, it got pretty loud. We could hear everything happening on the road. If you’re visiting Schloss Wackerbarth - this is the hotel that brings you the closest to the winery so you actually get crazy drunk and not have to worry about crawling back to your room cause it’s pretty close.

The hotel is beautiful and exceeding my expectations. It's beautifully furnished, spacious and clean. Our train was delayed so we would arrive after midnight. I called the receptionist after 10PM and she was very sweet, kind and understanding. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast fresh and delicious. Regarding the stay, I have absolutely no complaints. I would stay in this hotel again if I was in Görlitz.

The park is located in a beautiful area with many options for nature lovers, but also many kids friendly attractions even in winter. The house was very comfortable overall and extremely clean. We were several families with adjacent homes and it was very comfortable. The pool (included in price) is a few minutes away by foot. It is also well maintained and we loved the Solebad and the water temperature. there is a kids club, you can also take books and games. On Silvester there was a very nice program for families with a puppet show, music, camp fire and a few food stands for everyone with no additional cost. The staff was attentive, and came to fix the light in the bathroom very quickly. Overall it seems wonderful for summer with the lake and climbing forest which we were not able to use due to weather.

We were pleasantly surprised by how beautiful the surrounding area is, truly a hidden gem. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful, which made us feel really welcome. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide buffet selection to suit everyone and the restaurant served lovely food. The absolute highlight, though, was the swimming pool. With temperatures over 30 degrees, being able to cool off in the open-air pool - often with no one else around - was simply fantastic. A great place to stay, and we’d happily return.

The hotel is set in a beautiful and peaceful location. I was travelling with my dog and the surrounding area offered excellent opportunities for walks. Check-in was smooth and well organized, even though no staff were present when we arrived in the early evening and the restaurant was closed—the instructions provided were clear and easy to follow. The room was very clean and everything felt well maintained. Breakfast was good and the service we received was friendly.

Absolutely wonderful place with amazing staff, making the stay as peaceful and problem-free as possible. The lake is very clean, the private hotel beaches with white sand make it feel luxurious. Gorlitz is a small city with a countryside atmosphere & there's also a lot of history to the city & area around it. Shopkeepers were very friendly & open; my favorite place to eat is called 'The Gorlitzer'--fantastic food & service! There is a bus line & trams to get around the city although walking can be the best mode of traveling.

Beautiful historical town, very little spoiled by the former regime. Lovely walks through the colourful streets. Next time will reserve more time for museums, especially the Sorbian Museum. Everything is within a walking distance. Excellent Sorbian restaurant Wjelbik, make sure to book in advance, otherwise there is very little chance of getting any place. Be aware that LGBTQ+ people and other minorities might not necessarily feel comfortable, you notice a strong presence of far-right appearing young males (definitely was true during Christmas market).

The city is historic with lots of history and you can take...

The city is historic with lots of history and you can take tours around the city with a guide, also a lot of hiking can be done in oybin with a mountain train to take you, but not in winter. There is a museum, five churches, local bakeries, shops and restaurants. Train station is ten minutes walk to the centre. Locals don’t speak a lot of English but any young person will.

The landscape was beautiful and you could walk to other sites as well. Buses were also available nearby to take you to surrounding towns. The downside was that many of the restaurants and coffee shops were closed on Thursdays and Fridays. I have never experienced that anywhere else in the world. We had to really search for a place to eat and ended up eating lunch one day at an Imbiss--not exactly my first choice for a vacation meal.

Görlitz and the neighbouring Zgorzelec are such beautiful towns. Lovely architecture and pretty natural settings. Great for bike riding in the towns and along the river. Both towns were very quiet, even on a Saturday. Easy connection between the towns via three bridges.

Bautzen is a very attractive place with plenty of shopping facilities. The town itself could improve its historic appeal by pointing out more of its historic sights. The self guided walk ist just excellent. The town has a great advantage being so relatively small that it can be visited in a short period of time.

The historic center of Görlitz is stunning.

The historic center of Görlitz is stunning. While it's not that big a city, there are numerous streets full of elegant buildings, and one can happily stroll aimlessly and stumble upon plenty that is worth seeing. Public transport nerds like me will be glad to see the city trams gliding around the center; I was going to take a ride just for fun, but the weather was so nice it was hard to not want to spend the whole day walking around! The footbridge over the river to Poland leads to a town with a rather different feel, that makes an interesting contrast. Food wise, Görlitzer Kartoffelhaus was by far the standout meal I had in the city, and is lovely inside. The bakery just a few doors down from it was a nice place for a morning coffee and slice of cake too.
