Everything was superb! We had a one-bedroom suite that was beautifully appointed, like the rest of the hotel. The bed was the best we have had in Germany. The restaurant was excellent and the staff very attentive without hovering. This was a winery stop for us, so provided a very relaxing place to spend the weekend. The hotel is in the middle of the old city but easy to reach from the main highway. The central location afforded easy walking distance to local museums, wineries and scenery. The hotel grounds were very pretty and accessible (see photo of large open area with seating and gardens). Parking was secure inside the hotel gates.
Absolutely everything was great! The bed and pillows very comfortable, I loved the fact that therewas a desk and a mini fridge and the AC was very much appreciated.
The shower had a strong water flow and a small enlarging mirror, in additional to the regular mirror, which is great for putting makeup.
Location is right in the middle between the train station and old town, which is perfect.
I'll definitely be staying there again if I'm ever back in Wurzburg!

A very interesting historical city, much of which has been lovingly restored after devastating air raid damage in WW2. The Residence I(and its gardens) are well worth visiting, being a smaller scale version of the palaces at Versailles and Charlottenburg. Don't miss the Hofkirche while there. The Marienberg Fortress on the hill overlooking the town offers fantastic views, but is currently being extensively refurbished. It is still worth visiting though. And if you like visiting churches, you will not be disappointed here. Fantastic cuisine and wine available here. we can heartily recommend Aifach Resins and zum Stachel, the former for more contemporary cuisine and the latter for more traditional fare in traditional and historic surroundings.

Our experience at this accommodation was terrible from start to finish. The staff were extremely rude, unprofessional, and aggressive. They refused to speak English, even when we asked politely, and insisted on speaking only in German with a visibly hostile attitude.
When we arrived, they tried to charge us more than the price listed online. We ended up booking the room through Booking.com, where the price was half of what they initially asked us for. Even though the listing said “free parking on site,” they charged us extra for it anyway.
The room itself was a disaster — dirty, old, smelly, and clearly not maintained. When we tried to take a shower after a long day, we discovered there was no hot water. We went to reception to ask for help, and again, the receptionist refused to speak English. Eventually, he claimed the entire building had plumbing issues. However, minutes later, he said he could give us another room with hot water — clearly contradicting his earlier excuse.
We waited for him to show us the new room, but he just left us standing there. When we asked again, he started shouting in German and refused to help us any further. In the end, we had no choice but to take cold showers and go to bed extremely disappointed.
We tried to report the issue through Booking.com, but unfortunately received no response. This place was truly a nightmare, and I would strongly advise others to avoid it at all costs.

We were stationed in Bad Kissingen in the mid 80's, so we were familiar with the town. Bad Kissingen is smaller town in the Rhon region of northern Bavaria. It has some interesting sights to see that are centered around the Kur facilities. Old palaces and the halls where the mineral water is the key attraction. It's real attraction is it's location by the Saale river and the manicured grounds and trails that radiate from the center of town and out to the surrounding mountains. The area around BK is very beautiful and has a lot of traditional little German towns in rolling countryside. Recommendation if you visit is to do it by car to allow you to get out into the country side to explore.
Attractions near by are the Kreuzberg, which has a monastery and is famous for it's beer and the nature trails that wind up through the mountain that gives it it's name. There is also the Wasserkuppa which is another mountain that is nearby. This entire area is a part of the UNESCO Reserve Biosphere Rhon.

Beautiful old town, well maintained houses, quiet streets. Close to the Main river. Many wine producers in town, but drive to Escherndorf to find the best (e.g. Rainer Sauer). A number of okay restaurants in town tovhchoose from.

Geiselwind is a small town with a few hotels. There is a supermarket and pharmacy, a bank and a few businesses. To the West is a leisure area. It's an easy drive off the autobahn and little difficulty finding facilities. The locals are welcoming. For me it was fantastic however, not a place for the party lover. I stayed at the Krone hotel. Facilities, food and staff were all excellent.

I have already recommended this location to others. The cutest town. We were only going to stay for a day but ended up staying an additional day to see some sights we missed. I think a day and a half is perfect for the amazing town of Miltenberg

When you go inside the town, you drive through a very old gate and immediately are in a different age. The town is very clean has very nice buildings and is very old. The lovely hotel we went to, fits perfectly in that scene. People we spoke to were very friendly and the restaurants are great.

Würzburg is a very interesting city and well worth a visit. The Residenz was nice and the views from the Fortress were spectacular. Sadly the Fortress was closed on Mondays.
We stayed at the Maritime Hotel which was the perfect host. Lovely hotel and friendly staff. Breakfast was sumptuous and delicious.
It is centrally situated, has parking facilities and we could walk to the city without any problems.
The restaurant Alte Krane and the boat trip to Veitshöchheim was also very nice and interesting. The time spent wandering though the gardens of this very interesting quaint town was lovely.
We only missed a guided walking tour of Würzburg, which was cancelled at the last minute. The information desk at the Tourist Info Office could have been more helpful. Their offer of guided tours needs to be increased. Only one offered early on a Sunday morning😒
Otherwise, Würzburg is fabulous. We met some very friendly people, especially Omi and a group of boys from Günzburg who were celebrating a bachelor party were very funny and entertaining☺️
