We had a wonderful wedding lunch with about 20 people at the Garden Cafe. The setting in Augustenborg Garden is really beautiful and the team of Mette and Mette took great care of us. You get a really individual set up. From the menu to decoration and wedding cake. They do their best to fulfill all your wishes. We will always remember that special day. Thanks a lot for having us and the warm welcome. The home made gløgg is excellent as well. For our wedding we stayed at the lovely apartments in Augustenborg Garden right next to the Café. That was a perfect fit.

This was one of the best bed and breakfast experiences we have ever had. The owners have recently started their bed and breakfast business, and from the very beginning everything felt perfect. The host and hostess are wonderful, open-hearted people who truly go above and beyond to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The breakfast was outstanding, and the room was beautiful—authentic yet personally styled, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Extremely charming old inn, in a fairy tale and UNESCO recognized village, with all modern facilities. Very convenient location as a way station when driving from the south of Europe to the north. The attic suite was very good indeed, and the spa bath just what was needed after a long drive. The restaurant is superb, and far exceeded our expectations - this was Michelin quality. Very pleasant and efficient staff.

The room was spacious. We were only two and there was a foldout bed that could have accommodated two more. All the facilities were more than adequate. The room was interestingly decorated in pirate theme and everything was comfortable and easy to use. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant downstairs was equally excellent.

Lovely town which was easy to navigate and walk around.

Lovely town which was easy to navigate and walk around. We were only there for a day and a half but walked round the town, visited the food court - to be recommended- walked along the river past the zoo. Some nice restaurants with good choice - a bit more difficult for vegetarians but still doable. The museums are in the centre - If I returned a car would be a definite as there is a lot to see and do.

We were really happy with our visit to Vejle.

We were really happy with our visit to Vejle. I had read that it was an interesting place to visit but was still very surprised how much was going on during our weekend. I love visiting cities I can walk around and Vejle is easily walkable. Walking from harbour (east side) to the Cultural Museum (west side) was a bit too far for our 5 year old to do in one go without needing a snack but overall a great city to visit with a family.

Kolding is a small city, but blended with different dynamic...

Kolding is a small city, but blended with different dynamic ambiance, people of different diversities are living there. Convenient transportation, old and beautiful Danish buildings for artistic pleasure, a university (SDU) and a public library for intellectual enjoyment. Walking along the roads in the central part or wandering around the lake are always very soothing. Besides, Koldinghus is a very worthy choice, where radical architectural designs back up the old brick wall, new lifestyle merges well with the tradition. They even have a live performance show mimicking the old royal life.

I visited Sonderborg since I have ancestors who went from there to Australia about 150 years ago. I knew very little about the town and the island of Als and wished to learn more. Having spent five days there I am now delighted to know that it is part of my heritage.

The fact you get to park your car near the room is just...

The fact you get to park your car near the room is just perfect. Lots of room around the hotel and very close by Hindsgavl Slot, which is an amazing place to visit. The shops are only 10 minutes away by car, also there's an ATM. Enjoyed it very much and will be returning there with my kids for sure. It offers a quiet place to stay and is situated perfectly for road trips. Even though its near the highway we had no noise whatsoever and slept like a rose. Breakfast buffet is more than enough and the coffee was nice. (I love a good coffee in the morning) :-)

Nyborg until late 90 was a very busy train and car-ferry...

Nyborg until late 90 was a very busy train and car-ferry town. That changed with the completion of the Store Belt Bridge. My impression is that the town has been able to cope with these changes creating a lively newly build peripheral. The location with a waterfront in town center as well as beaches and forests further out are invaluable assets. Apart from that of course the Castle, a must see. Nyborg is a small town but rich in history, and a number of attractive beach front hotels.

Svendborg is a lovely seaport with great seafood.

Svendborg is a lovely seaport with great seafood. During the summer the harbour is filled with many interesting old, wooden, sea craft and there are many restaurants and bars close by. A ferry to the neighbouring island of Æreø departs from the harbour every 1-2 hours. The small town of Ærøskøbing on this island is well worth a visit. This place is like something out of a Walt Disney movie. Cobbled streets are lined on both sides with beautiful houses all of which seem to date from 1700-1800's with odd ones dating back even earlier.
