The church at the top of many flights of steps was worth a visit although we were not able to see inside. We were amazed at the number and the size of the birds' nests on the roof! The Imperial canal of Aragon was worth seeing too.
El pillar is a must see. We caught the start of the EL Pillar festival which has aragonese music and regional specialities. El tubo tapas area great for food
I didn't spend much time in the town as I was attending the MotoGP races at Alcaniz about 30 minutes away. Valderrobres is clean and quiet and appeared to have some nice restaurants although I dined mainly at Observatorio Mas de Bunyol where I spent four nights and the Motorland Aragon racetrack where food was provided for me. The drive to and from Barcelona was scenic and the roads good.
We only stayed overnight, but the autumn colours were outstanding in late October. Yosa is a small village down a narrow 3.5km road which is very windy and twisting. With only twenty or so houses, the Hostal Rural Basajarau would be an ideal base to make use of the many designated trails for biking or walking in this area of Aragon, Spain. Other than the hotel there appeared to be no other places to eat locally.
Calaceite is a beautiful unspoiled Aragonese village. It doesn't have too many tourists, has plenty of places to eat and is set in a countryside of olives and almond plantations and mountains. There are many ancient early iberian archaeological sites nearby. Also the great wine growing regions of Terra Alta and Priorat are not far away.
If you want to experience the spectacular Aragonese Pyrenees then base yourself in Jaca. The area has some of the worlds most beautiful mountains, valleys, lakes and quintessential Aragonese Pyrenees villages. This part of the world is totally unique and stunning. Jaca itself is a beautiful town.
Small town , narrow streets full of bars restaurants and family owned shops. excellent base for walks in the Pyrenees with good bus service . Refreshing swim in Aragon just by st Miguel's stone bridge.
Ok for a few nights but you need a car to get out and see surrounding sites. We stayed for Motorland Aragon so we were out of city every day. Nice sites st night.
Quiet town in the midst of vast agricultural fields and low rocky hilltops. In spring and at sunset, you can appreciate the beauty of the landscape from the medieval Parador of Alcañiz. The town is your best base camp to enjoy motor sports events at the nearby Motorland Aragon. However, please note that the public transport network isn't well developed - low frequency and coverage - if you don't have your own transport, you would either need to walk or use taxi. A bus connection to Motorland Aragon is only provided for MotoGP. The circuit isn't within walking distance, but it's really worth a visit. This year was our second experience of Superbike at Motorland Aragon and we truly appreciated the perfect organisation and rich programme of activities for fans. Alcañiz can get crowded on the eve of large competitions - make a reservation at a preferred place to eat, esp. if you're travelling in a group.
Huesca is not as pretty as as many of the other towns we visited in Northern Spain ... but the surrounding Aragon region is very beautiful and unspoiled. Skirting the southern Pyrenees and the expanse of the Ebro plain, it is a place of stunning castles and magnificent panoramas.

Although the people in Aragon is not likely to understand or speak English, they are very friendly and eager to help. This facility is completely self help and that is fantastic so there is no waiting for breakfast etc. You can also go and make yourself coffee or use the kitchen when you want to make your own lunch. It is a beautiful house and you can't beat the view! Google struggled to get us there, but sense of direction got us there.

Lovely old building, but with all mod cons. Plenty of space. Breakfast was buffet style and typically Spanish, with a lot of cake, in addition to bananas and oranges. Location good for Motorland Aragon. Several bars near by serving food.

Great location in a small village with very friendly local people. We used this place for easy access to Aragon motor land circuit. The house had everything we needed to make the stay perfect. Would definitely stay there again.

The staff who could have not been more welcoming and accommodating even composing an English translation to the Menu - causing great hilarity on both sides ! Loved the Jacussi too ! Thank you Hotel Montearagon .

Location - it was just a short walk into the centre of Huesca and, more importantly, it was a brilliant base for visiting some spectacular local places of interest. Aragon is very beautiful and unspoiled.

Its a charming, old world hotel in a wonderful old town in Aragon. Much more atmospheric than most modern hotels where you could be anywhere. Very friendly and helpful staff.

This hotel must have been a knock-out in its heyday, probably in the XIX century. Located in the Aragonian rugged country, there is some spectacular scenery around.

The security of your own garage parking especially when travelling with a fully laden car.The position of the hotel just off the motorway. The rooms were very modern, clean and a good size. The food was superb albeit we ate in the cafe and not in the room so you had interaction with the chef.
