The hotel was in a great location and all the local points of interest where within easy walking distance. We were checked in with a smile, and given directions to park our car for free. The room was lovely and the bed super comfy. A good choice from the buffet breakfast, in addition you could order eggs. Great little pool and sun loungers out the back.

We have had a very warm and friendly welcome by the front desk officer Mrs. Pilar even though we arrived late. She gave us all info that we needed for the area and even though we had to depart early in the next morning for our wild life tour at Andujar National Park (which is very close to the city), they have a very useful spot with a machine coffee maker and some snacks accessible for all customers. The building is fantastic and all common areas are very nice decorated. The breakfast area is superb and with a very good and convenient arrangement. Our room was at the first floor with a nice view at the front street, ideally decorated and very comfy. It was excellent in every detail. We have reserved in advance a parking slot, which was very easily accessible & very close to the main building. We loved the "smart access system" to the main building, parking and our room using a personalized pin code and of course the smart energy system of our room and the common areas ! A fantastic building with a very high concern and care for the environment ! We would like to thank all the staff for their hospitality and we will definitely come back !

These people insist on a two night booking, which I accepted as there was no other hotel listed by booking.com within 20 miles. However on arrival, within my estimated time, there was no one there. A 'phone number was stuck on the door. I called it: a woman answered and said "no habla ingles - closed".

One of the most beautiful mountain towns in Spain, quiet, very nice and helpful people, scenic historic castle and surroundings. The great medieval poet and knight Jorge Manrique was from there (there is a statue and some info inside the castle). If you like to walk and do not mind climbing stairs, you can go around and find different viewpoints to appreciate the mountains and the views of the town. There are also a bullring (very peculiar as it is not a ring), restored Arab baths, church (check mass times if you want to see it inside as it is mostly closed), popular public laundry room (the ancient type where you scrub your clothes on some cement washboard), etc. The local cuisine is very worthwhile. The mountain roads could be better kept (unfortunately a common malaise of all roads in Spain as of 2026 due to poor maintenance), so drive carefully.

This is a very comfortable apartment in this charming town. The only tourists seemed to be Spanish. Fascinating history including the bronze age fort in the valley and the wonderfully preserved Moorish castle. The whole town has paved and often narrow roads, and fortunately very little traffic. Marina is a thoughtful host. Try the local red wine. Cheap but delicious.

I asked the owner to provide me with the missing kitchen equipment, including a cutting board to replace the missing hot dish rack.
