- From $151.34 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Excellent - What previous guests thought, 214 reviewsWhat can I say! This was my 4th stay at Sahanlahti and as every time, my only big mistake was to have stayed just 1 night. The location by the lake is just beautiful, the rooms are so well done and have a friendly, welcoming vibe, the staff are helpful, the breakfast on a terrace in the morning is a treat. During the day there are other people around visiting the facilities, and there is a small harbor for a few boats, but it all comes together to being one place of life and relaxed enjoyment and nature. For me, it does good to my stressed soul every time I stay there. Highly recommended.Guest review byPeter_SFGermany
- From $110.86 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.7Good - What previous guests thought, 430 reviewsAmazing place to relax and enjoy nature. Good atmosphere in the camping and with a lake in front of it. I stayed in a small cottage, and it had everything I needed. Big fridge and microwave inside the room. I rented a bike in the restaurant and cycled to Purkahanju. It's beautiful! There are also a lot of hiking trails around the area.Guest review byMiguelSpain

The rooms are comfortable and don’t seem like run of the mill hotel rooms. It was once a school. I really liked my room but the windows barely opened and it was a very hot day and night. The breakfast was very good with plenty of variety.Guest review byPatriciaCanada - 6.0

Beautiful city, marketing is not working, should have more event advertising. Will not stay at the Spa Hotel Casino. Ate at the Muikkuterassi at the rooftop of Sokos hotel at the center market area . Also ate at Ravintola Majakka. Would recommend both places. Nice walking town.Guest review byLeenaUnited States - 10.0
I have been visiting Joensuu since 2012.
I have been visiting Joensuu since 2012. In the winter season, the city looks very beautiful as it gets covered with a fantastic blanket of snow. The sight of the frozen river is just stunning! I love the city for its cozy and peaceful atmosphere and the kindness of the locals.Guest review byAmorTunisia - 10.0
Koli National Park was formed by tens of thousands of years...
Koli National Park was formed by tens of thousands of years of erosion during the Ice Age, so the trails and hills are covered with large and small rocks. There are rich landscape changes during the journey. In autumn, the leaves are dyed red, yellow and orange. With a variety of colorful scenes, Koli National Park is a great place to enjoy autumn scenery. Climbing up the hills, you will see a 180-degree view of the lake unfolding in front of you, and you will be shocked by the magnificent scenery - and the trails are also very beautiful. The signs are very clear, so you don’t have to worry about getting lost if you’re walking alone.Guest review bySabrinaTaiwan - 10.0

The resort is well signposted and easily accessible from the main road. The shop and restaurant were good. A buffet breakfast was tasty and plentiful. The dinner menu was also good value for money. Beautiful location and plenty of walks/cycling ways from the front door. In the Summer months, there is big play park for children, with water slides, climbing frames, etc., in the adjacent holiday resort. This is one of the most beautiful areas of Finland.Guest review byMinnaFinland - 8.0

Kuopio is a charming city in Finland, known for its beautiful lakeside views and vibrant atmosphere. The city offers a mix of nature and culture, with plenty of parks, local markets, and cosy cafes. A great destination for those seeking a relaxing yet lively spot, with easy access to outdoor activities like hiking and fishing. It’s a welcoming city with a small-town feel but enough to explore and enjoy.Guest review byBlood7WaysUnited Arab Emirates - 10.0

Savonlinna is so beautiful town. Mainly the castle and the museum are both worth a visit, also a walk around the wooded islands and the town, during which it is worth a visit and refreshments at Cafe Saima, very delicious food.Guest review byKaterinaCzech Republic - 8.0

A small town in East Finland that has some good restaurants and local coffee shops but there is not much to do. The town is not touristic and there are not that many places to visit. However, the Botanical gardens are interesting and the Joensuu church is also worth visiting.Guest review byDiyan_DimovBulgaria - 8.0

There is a good shop and hotel in the middle of the village, plus also another hotel on the top of the hill "Koli". Neart he village also "Räsävaara" observation tower allowing good views to the forest landscape and lake. Also the new hotel in the Kolinkylä village is easy to see from observation tower. You need a car to get around.Guest review byMikaFinland - 10.0

Kuopio is a clean beautiful city, filled with warn, receptive and easy going people. The noiselessness of the city is awesome despite filled with energetic and lovely people. The structural organisation of the city of Kuopio is perfect. The Kuopio city centre, the melting pot of fun seeking personalities is a fantastic site to behold especially towards the evening. The Kuopio city transport system is great especially the bus system which I used more often. I noticed the bus drivers are usually relaxed and patient with passengers to get on board. I also discover that hanking of vehicle horns were none existent. Finally, Kuopio is a city to behold, with warm-receptive people, with beautiful sceneries such as lake around University of Eastern Finland. The people of Kuopio are very lovely and are ready to assist guests.Guest review byCharles
