Amazing location.
Amazing location. The owners and staff were friendly, professional, and answered all our questions. The bar was great, and the breakfast buffet was one of the best we've had. I hope we can go back to Briancon in the near future because it's so beautiful, and we'll certainly stay here.Guest review byJBDRHDUnited States - 6.0

Gap is a lovely place, but I would never - ever - recommend the Hôtel Restaurant Pavillon Carina to ANYONE. It is almost 4 weeks since they ruined our overnight stay there and we had to find emergency accommodation elsewhere. We are still waiting for full compensation and refund and neither they or Booking.com have been any help WHATSOEVER.Guest review byPeterHungary - 10.0

This village has quite a few decent restaurants, also cafes and creperies. There's a large public parking area. The hotel was close to everything. No need to use a car. We were there for 4 nights, which was just about right for us. The pistes are all mostly intermediate and blue runs. So fun for me as I like to ski just cruising along stopping at mountain restaurants. The restaurant at the top of the Aravet Gondola has a great menu and entertainment. And perfectly placed for those who partied too much and didn't want to ski down.Guest review bySVSusanUnited States - 8.0

Les Orres 1800 is a nice little village, with many families with kids visiting in Summer. That is the period, when we rented, I do not know anything about the winter. It is nice for hiking, cross-country biking/ VTT, and if you drive the 25 minutes down the mountain, you have access to the great lake of Serres Poncon, where you can swim, rent boats, etc. Enough for a week of fun. At most places where you can take the lift, there are restaurants, where you can sit outside and enjoy lunch or dinner. Our favorite place was Le Refuge Etoile, where they have excellent food and serviceGuest review byPeterFrance - 8.0

Its history was a surprise, having an enormous cathedral as testament to being an archbishopric covering about a quarter of what is now France, and delivering a pope, all around 1000 years ago. We were there height of season, and the better restaurants were almost fully booked in advance. It pays to plan !Guest review byIainSwitzerland - 8.0

Best place in Via Lattea for ski beginners, plenty of short and long green pistes. Great ski school instructors. But not very charming and lack of entertainment options for adults and kids. Restaurants are just ok. No real food options after 3pm, bad for skiers especially those doing ski lessons at lunchtime. Ice skating venue was not operating which is bad during ski season. Great balneo and spa.Guest review byMacaroniPenguinUnited States - 10.0
The town itself is very small and well served.
The town itself is very small and well served. Quite but that might have been the time of the year. Good access and near good amenities. The ski runs are class but the off piste is what stands out. Lifts are good and restaurants although some very basic aren’t badGuest review byZammitIreland - 8.0

Great range of restaurants and shops with normal town prices rather than ski station premium rates. If you want rowdy aprez ski then Briancon is not the place. Bus service up and down the ski valley is reliable in morning and afternoon but less so during lunchtime and evening.Guest review byChris WilliamsUnited Kingdom - 10.0
This is a great resort for families.
This is a great resort for families. Access to the slopes is very easy (a few steps away) and a free bus will take you to any of the neighbouring ski lifts. We were particularly impressed by the Pontillas gondola (five minutes on the bus) as it takes you up very high to an incredible, long and wide green run which is right next to some blues. This was perfect for us as one of us is a beginner but the other two were ready for something a bit more adventurous. It is great to see such a great green run so high up. If there are any issues with snow down the bottom of the mountains, it tends to be the greens that suffer. The Pontillas is brand new so doesn't yet have a restaurant or facilities up there but we were warned in advance so it wasn't a problem. There is a lovely little restaurant at the bottom, called Chalet du Lac. Beginners can purchase a debutant ticket for 18 Euros which gets you up there for as long as you want and then back again. We found all the ski staff to be very polite and friendly which was lovely after experiencing unpleasantness in Bulgaria. Being a smaller town, we also loved how quiet it was. We barely queued at all while we were there.Guest review byNatalie - 10.0
Overall Experience:
Overall Experience: I had a fantastic time at Les Orres ski resort! As a beginner skier, I found the slopes to be perfect for my level. There were plenty of wide, gentle slopes to practice on, and the instructors were very patient and helpful. Slopes: Les Orres has a great variety of slopes for all levels, from beginners to experts. The beginner slopes are located in the lower part of the resort, and they are wide and gentle, perfect for learning to ski or snowboard. There are also a number of green and blue runs that are perfect for intermediate skiers. For more experienced skiers, there are a number of black runs and off-piste areas to explore. Lifts: The lifts at Les Orres are modern and efficient, and they quickly get you to the top of the slopes. There are a number of different types of lifts, including chairlifts, gondolas, and drag lifts. The lifts are well-maintained and operate smoothly. Infrastructure: Les Orres has a great infrastructure, with a wide range of shops, restaurants, and bars. There are also a number of other facilities, such as a swimming pool, a spa, and a cinema. The resort is very well-maintained and everything is clean and tidy. Atmosphere: Les Orres has a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The staff are all very helpful and friendly, and they go out of their way to make sure you have a great time. The resort is very family-friendly, and there are plenty of activities for children. Recommendation: I would highly recommend Les Orres ski resort to anyone looking for a great skiing holiday. The resort is perfect for all levels of skiers, and it has a great atmosphere. Additional Information: I would also mention that Les Orres is very affordable, and it is a great value for money.Guest review byS AlvesPortugal
