From the moment we stepped into the lobby, we felt an air of elegance and attention to detail—all this for a reasonable rate of 85 euros per night. The room at this hotel is a harmonious blend of comfort and luxury, reminiscent of some globally renowned establishments. One of the highlights was the in-room jacuzzi, offering a perfect retreat after a long day. Among the 4* hotels I’ve ventured into, this one certainly ranks at the top, even outshining many 5-star hotels I’ve experienced. The staff, with their infectious smiles and willingness to assist, make your stay feel genuinely special. Its prime location on the iconic main avenue of Andorra la Vella makes sightseeing a breeze. And if you’re worried about city noise, fear not! Their noise insulation ensures your sleep remains uninterrupted, even with the city’s hustle and bustle just outside.

ok where do i even start with this hotel? we spent ages researching where to stay on a first road trip to Andorra, and we are so glad we decided to stay at Sport Hotel Hermitage & Spa. I genuinely can not recommend this hotel enough as for me and my wife it was perfect. I loved the fact that by the 2nd day everyone knew my name, all the staff were super friendly, supportive, providing advice and guidance as required. The parking across the hotel was super convenient and now that we know the bus routes we didnt need our car for much else. The hotel itself is how you see it in the pictures but in reality it is so much better in person. The lobby is grand, i love fact the the hotel is built into the side of a mountain and all the rooms are below road level. Our room 406 was amazing, the room service team, front of house, restaurant staff and the breakfast teams were all fantastic. I want to mention a few people who made our stay extra special, Sergio, William, Kevin, Eric, Maria, Juno and Oscar all deserve to be recognized for their professionalism and mannerism and i really hope the hotel management provide my comments to the team. i mentioned these people as i engaged with this staff every day of our 5 night stay. I highly recommend this hotel, location is perfect, staff are amazing, the food is fantastic too. Also as it was off-season we had the Spa to ourselves on most days! Me and my wife are not Skiiers but we are already planning our next trip. Hope to see you all again, regards, Mr Singh

This is a wonderful hotel in a superb setting. Nothing was too much trouble, the staff were delightful, the grounds are immaculate and the decor is beautiful - a 'Rocky Mountain' style lodge hotel in sunny Spain with the picturesque Pyrenees in the background. The food was all delicious, both the evening meal prepared by an excellent chef, and the plentiful breakfast. I have to eat gluten free and was well provided for, not always the case.

Supermarket within the grounds was convenient and sufficient. Bar/restaurant was great too! Room was comfortable and cozy. Hot water showers available and a ready kitchen. Stunning views with fully equipped rooms and generous space both for the room and bathroom. The balcony is a perfect fit with the room. As with all Spanish locations the restaurant and bar has a very strange schedule being mostly closed. They don’t have a pool but they give the alternative to use a nearby facility for a fee and that’s a bit downsize for a pricy location.

It was like staying in a fairytale. A small hotel, in a small village, located on a beautiful lake. The owners were delightful in every way, and went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was perfect. Their recommendations on nearby activities and restaurants were excellent, as was the home cooking within the hotel. A wonderful and unique stay that was pure joy.

There is something for everyone.

There is something for everyone. There are buses to all the main towns/villages and you can buy cards at the bus station if you intend using public transport. I paid 30 Euros for a month and this meant I could go back and forth to Soldeu and other places without having to fumble for cash each and, to not pay any more.

The Santuary of Our Lady of Lourdes is the best sacred place for pilgrims in the world, for unity, prayer and healing. The Grotto of Massabielle where the Virgin Mary appeared to Saint Bernadette, is incredibly serene. The whole atmosphere is very quiet, filled with peace and devotion. The architecture and the surroundings are beautifully maintained. Short walks nearby hotels, souvenirs, religious gift shops, restaurants are very accessible.

Pas de la Casa is a purpose-built resort so lacks the charm...

Pas de la Casa is a purpose-built resort so lacks the charm of some more traditional resorts in places like France and Austria. However, this means there are lots of shops, restaurants and bars to choose from. The duty free shopping is a particular bonus and we picked up plenty of alcohol and fragrances to take home at great prices, however, this means the shops are dominated by multiple branches of the same fragrance chain and alcohol stores too. I could do without a Burger king and mcDonalds in my ski resort though! We found some nice bars and Happy Hours are superb value, but for classic apres ski it was surprisingly disappointing. The one bar we found, Sol, right on the slopes, was over priced and lakced a decent atmosphere. The apres on the mountain was better but finished earlier. Skiing wise, although the ski area is extensive, the different areas are not brilliantly well connected with a couple of real bottle necks when you want to move from one to another and there are still way too many quite old, slow chair lifts and quite a lot of button and t-bar drag lifts.

Don't choose Cauterets for a ski holiday during kids school holidays! We had hours of waiting to get up the cable car, the single route to the mountains. I visited Benasque to compete in the Vuelta al Aneto trail race. The race started and ended in Benasque.
