An exceptional hotel, situated in its own vineyard. The location is fabulous, the food as very good and the wine of course is from their own production. Our stay included a complementary wine tasting in the vineyard shop (across the road). The Manager went out of her way to ensure all food requests were met. The gardens are beautiful and well kept, and there is a swimming pool for guests. The water was a little warmer than my taste, but I am sure most guests will like it that way. I have been to Avignon many times, I feel safe there and there is so much to quietly enjoy apart from the tourist attractions e.g. Pope's Palace, Pont d'Avignon, Ile de Barthelasse. During the Festival I imagine it's very lively! There are cafes and restaurants of all descriptions in every little square. Le Gout du Jour is high quality. Les Halles, the covered market, is a great place when self-catering. The Rue des Teinturiers is a favourite street even now it's missing half its beautiful plane trees. If your booking is within the city walls (Intra Muros) everything is in walking distance, and level. It's a lovely town to simply wander in and enjoy the architecture, street art, quirky corners. Plenty of buses and trains if you ever want to explore outside.

I have been to many cities and towns in Provence and Orange is nice, but limited. The big draw was the opera in the roman amphitheater. As a step off point for seeing other things in Provence, it is wonderful. Don't expect tons of gourmet restaurants, but it works.

The resort is situated near Gordes and many other villages in Provence. I like to visit Provence for about four days and visit about twelve villages during my stay. The Ferme de la Huppe provided easy parking, a quiet place to sleep, and a an all-inclusive resort to re-charge after being gone during the days.

Perfect place to explore Provence, it's right in the middle.

Perfect place to explore Provence, it's right in the middle. In the town you will find the basics: supermarket, some restaurants, others. The old towncenter is nice, and late afternoon (not on marketday) we found good parking facilities. Tip: google maps doesn't know that some streets in the old town are closed and it navigates inside impossible places. It's better to park next to the river and walk 3 minutes to the center.

There was an extremely high cost to use the pool and spa. This was not evident when booking. Also a ridiculously $$$ amount for vandalism tax which is refundable but an extreme measure since the hotel is not even in the city of Avignon. But still there is a city tax. On the plus side there were options for dining out not far from the hotel.

I was in Bedoin for a cycling trip and to be fair, you never have enough time on a cycling trip. The town has a classical French vibe and there are plenty of places to eat and just people watch. There are also a lot of souvenir shops and places to but the special mementos to bring home. The surrounding countryside is filled with breathtaking vistas of vineyards, and the lavender fields in Sault are a short drive.
