We had a fantastic stay at Loch Fyne Hotel & Spa! The bed was very comfortable and the room was a cozy space after a day of exploring. The spa facilities were lovely; however, the pool was a bit chilly which is probably great for swimming rather than lounging. There were hot tubs which we did not try. The breakfast was delicious where there was a buffet and a hot menu to choose from (eggs norwegian and waffles were our favourite). We also had some lovely dinners in the restaurant of the hotel and they had gluten free options also. What stood out from our stay, however, was the staff. They were incredibly friendly and made us feel at home. We were travelling with our baby and they were so helpful with everything.

The view from the bedroom was lovely mostly in the morning & during the day, I loved how close it was to the water also enjoyed the dinner & the pub was really good everyone was lovely & meeting new people what came there & spoke away to everyone. Ill recommend this place to everyone & will be having the breakfast next time I come back. The staff are actual gems I forgot my keys I phoned about them they put them behind the receptionist desk my dad went to collect them and said he would love to go there. It was only my best weekend away ever! Can’t wait to come back

Stunning setting and glorious sunset.

Stunning setting and glorious sunset. Generous breakfast with a great view, Rooms on a small side but seem to have been renovated not too long ago, the building has seen better days. Overall, recommended for a short stay.

The area is nicely located in between several lochs.

The area is nicely located in between several lochs. Many footpaths can be used, some are easy and even suitable for smaller children, others are more demanding like going on top of some of the nearby summits with great views. Swimming is possible in several locations, also for smaller children. If you are on self-catering, make sure to grab enough food on your way up as there is hardly any local foodstore. The picture shows the view from the Tarbet "house mountain" (Cruach Tairbert) down south, Loch Lomond left, Loch Long right.

The village was charming, you need to take supplies with you or face a long journey for them It must be said that Asda does deliver to the area but, I was not that organised. Bonus there is a local pub and you can buy pizza. If you enjoy water activities this is your place, you can even hire a boat.

Discovered great trail walks next to picnic benches and campsite which led to hidden coves and great viewpoints. Had champagne and nibbles on beach with friends and admired the view across the water whilst the sun set behind us. A great place to unwind and recharge.

There's not much in Tarbet, apart from the Hotel and a good restaurant, but its convenient for the Loch, and its on a junction of the main roads, so there's good access to other parts. There is a bus stop that the long distance bus services stop at. Loch boat trips depart from the pier. The Tarbet Hotel is a great place to stay. The Kirk 'o the Lochs is a good place to eat.
