Garvault House is an absolute gem. Situated in the most secluded of settings, it offers unforgettable nights under a starlit sky, where the only illumination comes from the heavens above. The cuisine is top-notch, and the service makes you feel right at home. It's a place where you can truly experience the essence of Scotland. It is a must-visit for those seeking an authentic Scottish retreat.

The member of staff we came into contact with was professional and welcoming both as we checked in and at dinner in the restaurant. The food was excellent. We liked the overall easy going nature and ambience of this hotel, located in a lovely town and in our case close to Scrabster Ferry Terminal. It is ideal hotel for a stopover.

Everything surpassed expectations.

Everything surpassed expectations. I had the most peaceful night that I can remember, the facilities were spot on, the views were spectacular and one immediately felt a peacefulness that I can only describe as sublime. The caravan itself was immaculate and I particularly liked the decking which had double doors opening out on to it. The provisions left were outstanding, the layout and size of the rooms made it easy for us of advanced age to navigate , the beds comfortable and the washing and showering facilities very clean and easy to use.

The proprietors Euan & Emma were excellent company and very attentive to guests' needs. The hotel had an excellent menu with accompanying wines, beers, spirits, if required. The hotel also had an extensive range of locally-produced spirits. The accommodation was excellent and well-equipped. The only down-side was the lack of TV reception - although being without TV was somewhat of a blessing!
