A warm welcome always awaits at the Grandtully. This is our 3rd visit, to celebrate another birthday. We just love everything about this hotel, the tasteful decor, the food, the staff, we arrived in the midst of Storm Babet, and late for our dinner reservation and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. After a 4 hour journey we were ready for a good meal, the food is incredible, the menu is seasonal and all the ingredients locally sourced. With only 8 rooms this place is very special with wonderful friendly staff and personal service.

A lovely wee town with a heavy emphasis on tourism. A great location in which to go cycling and/or hillwalking. A little bit expensive but the locals are friendly. I have been here several times over the last 20 years and will come back. One drawback-there isn't a taxi service to speak of in Pitlochry

Although I now live just South of the border between Scotland and England, Perthshire is home. I was born and grew up around Loch Tay, Kenmore and Aberfeldy and worked in Perth for 20 years. Who wouldn't love Perth and Perthshire with it's beautiful lush verdant scenes and wonderful loch, mountain and river scapes. Fabulous! I miss it so much when I am not there.

Being a regular visitor to the area of Pitlochry, Kenmore...

Being a regular visitor to the area of Pitlochry, Kenmore and Aberfeldy, we feel that Aberfeldy is somewhat quieter than the more poplar Pitlochry, However, it has it's own natural attractions (like the Birks) and is well served for accommodation with many great places to eat. Only a short drive from Kenmore, Pitlochry and Blair Athol it provides wider access to even more historical and natural attractions.

Blairgowrie is an excellent case for the surrounding area with plenty to do. We have longstanding family connections with the town and area which was the reason we were visiting, but the nearby countryside and hills for walking and exploring and distilleries and nearby proximity of all that Perthshire offers makes Blairgowrie a good place to stay a bit off the main A9 route

Ours was a whistlestop tour, mainly to get our heads down for the night after a 5 hour drive. The village is beautiful with lots to see and do. We stayed at Dalgriene Guest house which I'd highly recommend. We ate at The Loft Restaurant and would definitely eat there again. I can't wait to go back and explore the village further

We went there to celebrate our best friends 50:th!

We went there to celebrate our best friends 50:th! Rooms are very dated and old. Even got carpets in the rooms! Not very hygienic at all. Staff efficient!! Parked my car infront of house to unload! No help, at all. Came out 15 minutes later, knowing, very well, that I’ve parked incorrectly. Had 4 parking tickets on in, telling me I was incorrectly parked!!! Yes, I was fully aware of it but got NO, help! But the man, whom came out was, rather, sarcy! Telling me “Madam, that’s a very silly place to be parked!” That’s not, how you speak to a guest and told him that I’ve had no help. We did it ourselves! I’ll correct that the next time, was his answer. Not very polite, nor professional, in my eyes, tbh!!! Moved my car but felt, rather insulted, considering he was standing there with another guy! More or less laughing…. Unfortunately, this is my first impression of Crieff Hydro and the last!!!! Front of house is the most impressive and important thing to guests!

Nestled amongst the mountains with paths and tracks leading all over what’s not to like? Sadly, the general facilities here have gone. No shop for example. One place did have a sign out for coffee, but there could be an opportunity here for someone. Worth climbing up the Cateran Trail heading south to get stunning views looking down on the village. Also visit the stone circle, old bridge and the church. Just soak up the atmosphere!
