the hotel although a little dated was clean, tidy & comfortable, the pool & beach areas were nice & relaxed & the location was outstanding & unmarked by mass tourism which just made the place shine. what makes this place special are the family that run it, & the staff who work here. i'd have to say this is probably the most relaxing place I've ever stayed, it did not feel like a hotel at all; more like they were inviting you in to their family home. full of advice that made my trip better than i had hoped, always on hand & generous too. this is a great hotel in a great location & to top it off the owner is a biker making this place very biker friendly, the secure off street parking and location was originally why i picked this hotel, the owner, his family & the staff are why i will return. i even got a day riding in the mountains of northern Peloponnese with the owner which ended up being one of the highlights of my trip. i would recommend this place to those who want more for less & don't mind putting in the effort to find what they really want in a trip. i also found this hotel to be an excellent base from which to explore the Peloponnese by motorcycle with all the sites within very easy reach, the Peloponnese really is a bikers paradise. a huge thanks to all at the Florida blue bay & Motogreece.

We booked 2 rooms, one suite and a room for 4 (including 2 kids) which were just awesome! The rooms are well-equipped and clean. The suite is huge, well designed and comfortable. Other positive points: a free parking next to the hotel and nice breakfasts at reasonable prices, plus really nice employees.

This hotel was a real surprise! Beautiful, spotless; the room spacious and cozy. The air-conditioned wasn't working, they came and fixed it immediately. The staff at the reception and breakfast was extremely kind and helpful. Breakfast was generous. We'd definitely like to come back.

Patra is a town full of University students that makes it a very live, fun town. There is a great balance of nightlife, city culture, sea and country experiences available. The Castle on the top of the hill is a must see as is the Roman Odeon. The best was walking down the main strip on a Friday night. The city was alive with people having a fabulous night out. Shopping, cafes and restaurants galore. Make sure you go when the Universities are running as you may have a very different experience.

The place is not to heavy on tourists, they and we mainly come for the Vouraiko train (must see!). It would have been great to have known upfront that the seats on the train are not many so booking is necessary.

While Kalavryta has a troubling history, it's a wonderful area, rich in natural beauty, with plenty to do outdoors, and many taverna/eateries to choose from. Do stop at the museum in the village center.

Aigio is a top location to relax but also to see other surrounding sites like Kalavrita 45 mins away and also Mega Spileo Monastery ! They have some great restaurants to eat around the centre square and also in the main road surrounding the centre square!

Everything was very good and closely spaced with each other. The weather was good and the sea was clean with very beautiful and well rounded pebbles. Super market and various food establishments were in an 100 meter radious. Very easy to walk, shop and dine without using any transportation.

Comfortable bed, large closet with room for luggage. Strong and reliable wifi signal. Good breakfast, and dinner was delicious. Helpful and friendly staff. No separate area for smokers in common area, and spiral stairs to upper floors are steep rise/run.

There isn't really much to Rio.

There isn't really much to Rio. It used to be where the ferries crossed to go to the North of Greece. The area to the right of the bridge as you go down has many restaurants and bars along the beach and the locals go swimming there a lot. On the other side to the left of the bridge there are again many nice restaurants and bars. One of the restaurants we went to was perfect. The Nafto oikos. They were fully booked but found a table for us by the kitchen and the food was exceptional. Rio is great if you are visiting Patras or on a stopover. There isn't really much to do there long term.

the location is exceptional & very well placed to explore...

the location is exceptional & very well placed to explore the Peloponnese by motorcycle. the views were outstanding, the local sea front towns & restaurants were great with very nice food served, spoilt for choice really; great atmosphere, nice people & unhurried in service. very relaxing place steeped in history all around you. all enjoyed by the local population as much as the tourist, very nice to see the locals are not priced out of their own environment. very clean environment with mountain's & valleys around every bend, navigation of the whole Peloponnese was exceptional & is a bikers paradise.

From here, you can use a bus to reach Kiato, Corinth and Athens very cheaply. It is a beautiful town with nice monuments and ancient traditions. Pleasant city, active nightlife, many shops and excellent cuisine. From the Gulf of Patra you enter the Peloponnese. It is the right place to start a trip to Greece if you arrive by ferry from Italy, either with your own vehicle or simply on foot.

The place to catch the railway up the mountains to Kalavryta...

The place to catch the railway up the mountains to Kalavryta. It also has a limited rail service to Athens and is close the the main Pelopponees motorway. It is very much off the tourist map and the town offers little in the way of attractions. It is however ideal for those wishing a quiet stay. Not a place to entertain children.
