AustriaGorgeous hotel - breakfast was incredible, so was lunch! We didn't have dinner there as we were on the Island for a wedding however I can only imagine it was as good. Staff were so lovely and friendly. The pool was a great bonus too as it was too windy to go to the beaches over the weekend. Lots of cute shops around and super close to the port. We really enjoyed our stay!

REMOTE WORKERS and WOMEN SOLO TRAVELLERS this review is especially dedicated to you. I went to Hydra for 3 nights and at the first moment, the staff was very attentive. During check-in, Dimitri showed me and another girl all the must-see beaches around Hydra and gave tips on how to get there whether I wanted to hike, take a regular boat or a taxi. He also mentioned a hike to the monastery and was honest about the preparation and minimum duration. It's worth it, but it will be strenuous, especially under the hot sun. I'm glad I listened to his recommendations.
The facilities are very clean (especially the bathroom and the bedding) and spacious. It's quiet and the access to the main street is such a bonus. A quick 3-minute walk and you are in the main strip, especially when you are carrying heavy luggage and bags on your back, it's a huge plus. The hot water was plenty and the water pressure was strong.
As for the Wi-Fi. I saw the negative reviews on the Wi-Fi service, and I did work in one of the days, so I was a bit concerned with the Wi-Fi service. Ahead of time, I contacted the facility, and Dimitri was very quick in responding. The service in the room indeed is not good and fast enough for working, but for my phone it was ok. However, it was pretty good in the reception room (that is air-conditioning) and outside by the tables in the terrace and in the garden. That said, I was able to work normally for about 8 hours with their Wi-Fi (wi-fi calls, several tabs, and programs open).
I definitely recommend the place. The location is great. The host and staff made me feel safe and gave great tips on how to enjoy the island during the short stay. The facilities were very clean and spacious. And Wi-Fi was good for work. Thank you all for such a stress-free time.

Really beautiful island. Great location close enough to city centre. The staff was really friendly from the reception to the cleaning lady. They all had a smile for you at any given time you need to adress them. They kept our bags before the check in and after the check out. Great tables to relax on the patio, we actually had dinner there. Great small rooms with all the essentials. Windows can be tricky, ours was overlooking reception but the other room basically opened up to a small private patio and some trees. It was great never t less. Would recommend to anyone. Clean and comfy.

Everything. It was so thoughtful, from the high quality toiletries to selection of capsule or drip coffee in your room. Super clean, comfortable bed, spacious. Good location, just a few steps from the port. I’m very happy with the choice. They also have rooftop with wine bar but I didn’t try that as there are lots of cute places nearby for drink and bite. And if you are doubting if you should go to Hydra, I would say it’s a pure gem, go for it at least for a day, it’s with it!!

Beautiful hotel perfectly located at the very heart of the town of Hydra yet very peaceful. The building is gorgeous and having breakfast in the courtyard has been the best possible start every day.
Kostas, the owner, has been a lovely host, friendly and helpful throughout all our stay. He has given us wide advice on what to do, where to eat, how to get anywhere... We have felt better than at home!

I read the reviews, so I was expecting a good experience, but I must admit this place exceeded my expectations, especially for the price. We stayed for five nights, and the breakfast was amazing, with a great variety each day. Every morning offered something different, including the best spinach pies and walnut cakes. The staff was friendly and very attentive. Highly recommended!

the apartment was very spacious and very clean. with a fabulous view over the port and the village. it’s magical to seat in the balcony with your morning coffee just contemplating. Very close to restaurants, bars, beach boats, supermarkets etc still very quiet to come back to. the hosts are the kindest and always helpful! I loved my days in Hydra ❤️

Hotel has very good location, it has old fashioned but very lovely homey athmosphere, the hosts are very friendly and helpful. I would love to go there back someday. it has very lovely terace with excellent viwe to the island.

We loved Hydra,from the minute we got off the ferry and...
We loved Hydra,from the minute we got off the ferry and wended our way through the cobbled streets to Hydra Suites. To be met by Nina, waving enthusiastically at us. Our accomodation was great, part of an old house, with stone floors and walls but fitted out of modern plumbing and lamps etc.We had our own patio area , small but beautifully formed kitchen area and only a couple of minutes walk to the nearest restaurant serving superb fish

Mandraki was a hidden gem of a place, only a 20-minute walk along the coast from Hydra Town, but away from all the hustle and bustle and with its own little beach and taverna - everything you could possibly need for a deeply relaxing holiday.

Hydra is such a stunning place and perfect if you want a relaxing, authentic Greek island experience. The fact that there are no cars makes it feel really peaceful, and everywhere you walk you’ve got beautiful stone streets, traditional houses, and amazing sea views.
The water is crystal clear and the swimming spots are incredible—whether you go to a beach or just jump in from the rocks. At the same time, the island still has a nice lively vibe, so it never feels boring.
There are also loads of great places to eat, with lovely seaside restaurants and cafés serving fresh local food. Overall, it’s the perfect place to unwind, explore on foot, and enjoy the scenery. Definitely somewhere we’d happily go back to.

I visited Hydra in April and it was the best time to visit Hydra. I avoided cohorts of tourists and the weather was stunning. Visiting Hydra, I experienced life on a Greek island without long traveling. Hydra is close to Athens so it is a good destination for a day trip or a longer stay. Also, it is a unique place where no cars or bicycles are allowed. Use your own legs to move around or hire a water taxi or a donkey.
