I didn’t actually stay but my parents did and the staff were exceptional. It was my Mum’s birthday and they organised a bottle of wine and a dessert in her room, wished her a happy birthday on arrival and offered them a pre-dinner drink. Really attentive and thoughtful service. 10 out of 10.

Getting to the hotel was a little unusual, as we had to drive through a construction area to reach the entrance. However, the staff were excellent, both at reception and in the restaurant. Dinner was perfect, with excellent-quality food and lovely service. What really made our stay special, though, was breakfast, where Kevin’s sparkling personality, warmth, and kindness always gave us a wonderful start to the day.

We loved everything about the Connacht! From the accessibility to the fitness and pool area, the check in process and the room-it was fantastic! The hotel restaurant and bar staff were our favorite part of our trip. They were all so friendly, accommodating and made our experience so memorable. Each and every staff member was so helpful, joyful and caring. We can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful setting and a stunning and interesting historical building. A unique experience. We enjoyed walking through the trails on the extensive grounds. The fitness centre, spa and pool complex is modern and bright. Dining was excellent but best of all was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff.

Wonderful picturesque town, especially the river and the floral decor on the bridges. Easy access , wide paths, and the many greenway links for off road walking throughout the town. The street scape with the individual indepenent shops and business without shutters , so nice to be able to ramble and view their goods & services. Wide selection of hotels , restaurants and dining options. Excellent tranport options, buses & trains to link up other destinations along the wild atlantic way, to places like Kylemore Abbey, Clifden and Galway. A very warm and welcoming atomsphere thoughout the town with a very relaxed and easy pace of life there.

We went to Sligo for 2 nights in the recent heatwave in July this year. What an amazing break. Sligo beautiful, beautiful scenery. Rosses point beach was amazing. Very safe beach, beautiful weather. Felt we were in Italy. Unforgettable for all the right reasons.

Clifden is known as the Capital of Connemara.

Clifden is known as the Capital of Connemara. As a wonderful "Old Ireland" town it represents the warmth, friendliness and beauty of Connemara. The local pubs are lively, full of chat and serve good food. Obtaining a seat in a pub or restaurant was a challenge the second week in August when we visited. One restaurant "Oifig an Fish" had even ran completely out of food ! A good complaint for them. Or, if you like fast food there is a very good one out the Galway road. Shopping for food or necessities was easy. There is a Supervalu, Aldi and Lidl supermarket. There were even showers available for anyone who needed them. the first time I ever saw a sign for showers in any town. A lovely town to walk around with a library, museum fine shops, bars, restaurants, accommodation and very friendly people.

May be biased, as my mum was from Ballina, but It's a great little town with plenty of bars, plenty of shops, the Moy and close to Enniscrone and Knock Airport. A great place to stay to visit Mayo. There's a lot more to the county than Castlebar and Westport!

Cong is a lovely village, very clean and tidy, traffic on a one way system, main route with lots of articulated lorries passing. But easy to navigate. As a big "The Quiet Man" fan I loved it, with tours and Museum and also Ashford Castle. Had dinner in Pat Cohan's great restaurant /pub with great staff. Local people are very friendly, would visit again

Beautiful location in connemara.

Beautiful location in connemara. One of the most beautiful in my experience of the world. Wild nature accessible to all. We went hiking, fishing, camping and staying in hotels none of which disappointed. The village has ample cafe / pubs and there is the sheep and wool shop / museum. We didn't visit the museum but browsed in the shop for a while which was very pleasant. Also visited the Leenaun hotel which was also very pleasant
