We reached the resort on our own (self-driven), a little behind schedule. We were greeted by the GM (Mr. Ratheesh Nair). They were expecting us. The check-in procedure was a breeze and was expedited by the Front Office Manager (Ms. Shalini). The staff was very helpful and went out of their way to be of assistance. Room: The room was well appointed and the airconditioning, linen, toiletries, and mini-bar were well equipped. F&B: The buffet meals were well placed. However, the menu was the typical "pan-Indian" one. We were looking for typical Kerala cuisine, so we restricted ourselves to "a la carte". the staff gave us good advice on what combinations, and portions to order, and to put it in one word the food was "outstanding". Activities: Mr. Ratheesh and Ms. Shalini gave us good advice regarding the timings and what trips to take and that came in very handy in deciding the trips to take. Housekeeping: The housekeeping was efficient and the rooms were kept nice, clean, and well-equipped. Indoor Activities: The pool table, badminton court, and board games were maintained very well.

We loved Fireflies Kabini. The staff went above and beyond to help us. I have food intolerances and they even made me some special foods :-) Unfortunately, my husband got sick within a day after we arrived, but they were very helpful in being sure he had what he needed. The beds were comfortable and a nice selection of toiletries was provided. They arranged our safaris and a bull cart ride in front of the resort, plus recommended another spot to visit for birdwatching. There was beautiful landscaping, two nice lotus ponds, plentiful birds, and the bonfires at night were nice. The swimming pool looked great, and others seemed to enjoy it, but we chose to just relax in the shelter by it. I enjoyed the birdwatching :-)

This has been by far the best place we have stayed in India. The owner and his recommended driver have been super helpful and kind. We absolutely recommend staying in here , specially if you want to see tigers and do safaris in Nagarhole or Bandipur. Best experience ever.
