A very beatiful ancient city with lots of shops with the most up to date fashion, nice restaurants and bars, clean city centre. Very friendlyand helpfull people everywhere. When you vist the province Marche, a visit to Fano must be on your list.
It was our first time in this area as we have visited Tuscany each summer for years now. We decided to explore a different area of Italy and chose Le Marche to visit the first week in November. It is a beautiful area. The landscape is a mix of pines, vineyards, deciduous trees, olive groves and agricultural land in addition to the National Park. The leaves were changing to autumn colours, so it was really beautiful. There are lots of quaint villages and mountain areas to explore. The food, as always, is delicious and the gelato is just as good as in Tuscany. We will be back next Spring, for sure.
Ascoli Piceno is a beautiful travertine city. There are very few tourists, so you don't have to battle crowds or tourist menus in restaurants. It makes an excellent base for exploring the regions of Marche and Abruzzo. These regions are dotted with stunning Medieval villages on top of craggy outcrops. The scenery is untamed and there are many outdoor activities. The city of Ascoli Piceno is easy to get around on foot.
This town is a jewel of Le Marche which makes the most of its wonderful beach. The shopping centre is excellent and the number of hotels makes it a major tourist attraction. Great historic buildings and many interesting civic centres - not to mention a wonderful marina. Definitely a must visit town with an excellent east coast railway station and only 30 minutes from Ancona airport.
This is a nice beach resort with historical center including a castle close (1 hour drive) to Urbino. It is less crowded than the beaches in north Marche and Sennigallia isn't a commercial center like Pesaro/Fano so it seemed easier to get to. We stayed much further down the coast last time (San Bennedetto del Tronto) and frankly, this beach was just as nice, much closer, and less expensive. To be fair, their is probably more nightlife in the other beaches, but this one was perfect for a two day getaway with the kids, or if you just wanted to get some sun, have a good meal, and not deal with crowds.
Colmurano is a picturesque hilltop town at the end of a ridge overlooking the Sibilini Mountains .has two bars restaurant/pizzeria , bank , post office and local butchers, general stores etc . Great location for exploring the nearby hilltop towns of Macerata and Le Marche .half an hour from the coast . Le Marche is the hidden gem of Italy ,much less touristy than Umbria and Tuscany and with spectacular scenery. There are a variety of restaurants within a few minutes drive of Colmurano, the one in the village square is outrageously reasonable . At the other end of the ridge is Urbisaglia ancient Roman ruins , and some good bars and restaurants ( Le Logge )
I choose Porto Recanati because surroundings offer the best for cultural visiting, nature (Parco del Conero) and an open wide view on Adriatico Sea. I'd been staying for four days, I ate twice at tipical restaurants and I had meal in the bungalow: I choose food and wine from Marches. In May it is easy and relaxing getting around Porto Recanati. No problem with parking the car or riding a bike.
FALCONARA BEACH IS NOT SO FAR FROM THE AIRPORT ANCONA. WE STAY ONLY ONE NIGHT AND WE HAVE MAKED A SHORT TRIP IN MARCHE AND FALCONARA. THE BEACH WAS ONLY 10 MIN WALKING FROM OUR STAY "TOURING HOTEL". THE QUALITY AND THE PRIX ( 60 euro/night with breakfast and parking)WAS VERY CHEAP AND WE HAVE PARKED OUR CAR FREE IN THIS HOTEL TOURING. ONE NEGATIVE POINT NEAR THE BEACH IS THE TRAINRAIL. THIS BREAKS THE ATMOSFER OF A BEACH.
Osimo is a medieval little italian city with beautiful public garden with terrace view (the best sunsets with charming view of Marche region). Romantic place, just 15 minutes ride from grat beaches of Conero and Porto Recanati. Great regional kitchen in Osteria dell'Arco Vecchio. For history lovers there are breathtaking: cathedral and città sotteranea (underground city). Osimo is a place full of history and beautiful landscapes!
Fermo is an ancient city with great significance to the Catholic Church, it’s little winding streets hide all sorts of interesting shops and Restrauants - it is a little off the main tourist track... but that makes it even more attractive. The Iocals are not tourist minded and unfortunately they cannot see the benefits..thus there is only one taxi service, that operates when it feels like it....the Fermo Duomo and the Theatre are true treasures of fermo as is the phenomenal views, they were simply breathtaking - it is central to all the local attractions of the Marche region without the tourist vibe, you can do plenty or nothing and just soak in the scenery and the culture. You can get a bus from Rome airport directly to fermo - it takes 3 1/2 hours straight, costs 24 Euro one way - great expressways and a scenic trip. It is only 15 mins drive inland from famous Porto SAN Georgio beach side tourist area without the hype. I highly recommend if your driving through Italy it is definitely a place worth stopping at.

This property is located 50 metres from the gates of the old town of Urbino. Nearby parking was plentiful. The property is located at the top of a hill with views of the new town, the Marche countryside and the Adriatic Sea. We booked the Garden Suite and our room was well furnished, clean and very large. Our hostess Beatrix prepared breakfast each morning with homemade cakes and jams. She was always helpful with tips for day trips. We stayed for four nights and both the accomodation and Urbino were the highlight of our trip.

The Villa Cattani Stuart is one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed in and an assett to our continuing regular vacations in Le Marche. Its spectacular garden grounds and very private setting of the old villa and its adjacent buildings in combination with the state-of-the-art equipment of the hotel rooms in the separate building, the excellent staff and the magnificent breakfast make for a perfectly relaxing vacation and a real treat. We will always come back and look forward to our next stay in this wonderful place.

Simply An amazing place. Spacious room (with all needed amenities) and beautifully furnished. The bed mattress was top quality and the location just felt like being on a film set. You can cook your own food and seat on one of the table in the garden to enjoy your dinner. Away from everything but still close to all beach resort, this is the place you would dream to own one day. A home away from home, why bother with Tuscany when you have this wonderful ( quiet) place close to the sea. Tuscany on the Marche doorstep

Surrounded by an amazing landscape all around with LeMarche hills, we had a friendly welcome from the owner and a relaxing time especially enjoying the pool at sunset time. Rooms are clean and well equiped for a confortable stay, the place is really well mantained respecting the rural tradition of the region. Good located as so many beautiful villages and natural spots to visit around. We coudn't ask more for a regenerating getaways with our families ... daughter, parents and in-laws enjoyed all as well!!

One of the best accommodations we have had in our travels across Europe. So peaceful, so comfortable, so great for kids, and great access to all of Marche. Must see Loreto and Corinaldo! Dante and his family were wonderful - bring us fresh melons and we're available for all our needs. The backyard was well manicured and superb for the kids to stretch their legs and swing. We ate every dinner on the top porch and watched the sun set over the western hills. We can't wait to come back in the Fall.

There was much to like - the old villa itself with the beautiful central room off which lie the attractive bedrooms. The tranquil rural setting of the villa, with great views from the garden back to Urbino. Having a drink on the roof terrace with both the Urbino view and views over the Marche hills. The charm and affability of the young couple who run the establishment, and who serve a very good breakfast (in the garden when the weather allows, in that elegant central room when it doesn't).

This apartment is in a very good location, on the Senigallia's Hill so it's perfect for sea holiday (10 minutes to Senigallia by car with no traffic!) but also for visiting Marche region with its nature (monte Conero) art (Urbino, Recanati, Loreto etc) and food. Sabrina is a very nice host and brings you in a very relaxing time. Very recommended for families with children. There's also a little nice garden with varoius games for children. Fantastic!

I don’t even know what to say because everything was so perfect. I come to the Marche area because of my work and it’s my first time there and it will obviously be my place there from now on. I just regret not having much time because they have a lovely spa, actually an amazing one and I couldn’t enjoy it. I had my son with me and they were lovely. The apartment was super clean, the decoration to die for and the staff is very very lovely.

Looking over Cingoli Lake, this place offers tranquillity and relax in a bucolic scenary. Rooms are cosy and clean. Breakfast is large, food is totally home made and delicious! What we appreciated the most was the kidness of the owner, who was always willing to help. Different restaurants in the area offer delicious local food. The location is also quite strategic if you want to visit different places around central Marche.

The central location - very close to restaurants and places of interest. The secure, free parking was a bonus, too. The hotel has been tastefully renovated and is very comfortable. Our room was spacious with a large balcony. The breakfast selection was abundant. I would stay here again if I were in the area and would recommend Hotel and Residenza 100 Torri to anyone planning to explore Marche and Abruzzo.

The owner was very friendly and helpful. They also produce their own goat cheese which was very tasty! Absolutely amazing location on the hill where you can completely relax from all the world and people. Reading a book at the pool enjoying beautiful landscape or good starting point to explore Marche region...that's what this property offers :)

Comfortable, nice, clean and brand. Fully equipped kitchen, terrific breakfast with home made cakes, nice pool, lot of space. Host was kind and accommodating. We were sorry to live after one night. Hope to be back for a longer stay. Strongly recommended if you wish to visit Fermo and the Marche region.

Fantastic location with direct access to the beach, neat room with large and quiet terrace... plus the bonus of the pleasant solarium with a view on rooftop! Beaches and town are rather ordinary, but the perfection of Life Hotel adds something to one of the many tourist destinations in Marche region.

Incredibly welcoming hostess. Gave us lovely free food and drinks on arrival. Delicious home cooked cakes and fried eggs etc. for breakfast even though it was a fully equipped apartment. Totally independent 'cottage' with extensive patio looking out over the Marche hills.

Mimi & Coco was fantastic. We had 5 people (3 teenage kids) and the facility and the staff were perfect for us. Very close to roads to Ascoli Piceno and Le Marche, the views of Ascoli and the nearby mountains are stunning! It was wonderful!

It is a beautiful apartment and the location is great: close to the main square in a cozy village. Francesco is very hospitable and very helpful in all circumstances. We will definitely come back again when we are in Le Marche.
