I stayed at this wonderful hotel during a trip between northern and southern Italy, and I can say without hesitation that it was one of the best hospitality experiences of my life. The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of Salsomaggiore Terme, a splendid town that I already can’t wait to return to. The hotel itself is spotless, impeccably clean, and extremely comfortable. But what truly makes this place extraordinary is the professionalism, warmth, and kindness of the staff. I have been traveling across Europe for thirty years, and I swear I have never encountered such genuine courtesy anywhere else. A special mention goes to Cesare, the front desk manager, whose helpfulness and friendliness simply cannot be forgotten. His restaurant recommendations were fabulous, and his attentive assistance made me feel truly welcomed and cared for. This hotel is a real gem thanks especially to his kindness. I will absolutely be back... five stars for life!

Lots of things you can count which make staying in this hotel comfortable and relaxing. First - free parking and you get personal care of your car. Then - amazing receptionists who are kind and helpful. Comfortable bed and nice bathroom. You have blinds in the room and you can open window. The hotel is situated something like 15 minutes from the heart of Parma, but I would say, that the restaurant which is situated on the ground floor of the hotel is the real heart of the city. Amazing food and service and good wine list. I consider ristorante Cocchi as one of my favorite among all the restaurants in Italy.

Grand Hotel Salsomaggiore is an incredible place—set in an equally incredible town. The location is perfect: a short stroll through the park to a cluster of excellent restaurants. Don’t forget to book the SPA in advance; access is limited, which keeps it uncrowded and relaxing. The spa itself isn’t large, but it has everything you need: cold plunge/ice, hot pools, a hammam, two saunas, and a tropical shower. Hotel managers and the front desk team are outstanding—proactive, kind, and ready to solve any problem. Breakfast is superb. If you don’t see something on the buffet, just ask—they’ll happily prepare what’s missing or make the drink you’re craving.

Good size room, Jaccuzi in the bath, Nice restaurant serving authentic Italian food. Good location not far off the Autostrada. Staff very friendly and helpful with the language differences.

Extremely pleasant people, everything is clean, rooms are spacious. Breakfast is also very nice.
