NorwayWe didn't have the breakfast but everything else was perfect. The spa is divine, the rooms spotless and the kimonos were super comfy and cute. I loved the extra touches (chocolate milk for after your bath, a sweet on arrival, tea in your room etc) . The staff were helpful and friendly and let me use the phone to call ahead to the next hotel.

The rooms were modern and well decorated..And super comfortable.
The breakfast is traditional japanese. And the drinks in the lobby and in the room are free. Also in the evening you can get a bowl of udon noodles
When we left we also got a small pouch with omiyage and a personal message. It was perfect

The place was Great, it was next to a bunch of stuff to do on Kanazawa, I would recommend staying more than a day so you dont have to rush too much. I've used the public bath and the massage there, it helped me restore some stamina after all the walking.

Great location, right next to all the kombinis and in walking distance of all the things we wanted to see. The beds were very comfortable. They had PJs and slippers for our stay. Next to our room we had an ice machine and laundry room, it was a life saver for our trip

The hotel is 5-minute-walk from Kanazawa Station. It's got beautiful trees around, onsen and even a massage chair! Staff was helpful!

Welcoming & professional staff, a comfortable room & excellent breakfast with a focus on local produce. The hotel is close to the station and has a public bath which my partner also enjoyed. This is my second time here and I'd be more than happy to stay again.

We had a suite with the private onsen which was fantastic. So peaceful, relaxing and romantic. It was expensive at nearly 70,000 yen (approx $700 AUD) per night and we stayed two nights, but the experience was totally worth it. If you can, definitely get this room. The little town of Yamanakaonsen is only about a 15 minute walk and has a convenience store and other gift shops. We found a lovely spot down by the river.
The staff were all excellent, as I have found in all Japanese hotels, but I want to make a special mention about a young Indonesian lady (Sushi) who waited on our table. She explained the extensive menu in Japanese to my Japanese wife and again in English to me. Her bubbly personality was a delight. The food was outstanding, top quality and plentiful. Overall one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had. The onsen in your room overlooking the river and forest was just perfect.

Excellent stay, and the view of the bay from the room was amazing. Both meals were delicious, and we had them in a private room. Also, there were a few private baths. The service staff were amiable and helpful. It is worth a trip to this remote area of the Noto Peninsula.

This is a nice, well kept hotel with specific retro vibe. The traditional japanese style room is really stylish and beautiful, the dinner and breakfast wer also exceptional. We really enjoyed onsen and strolling around Yamanaka and its beatiful surroundings. Recommended!

Easy town to get around.
Easy town to get around. Lots of walks in the park, castle grounds, and both the Geisha and Samuri districts. Loved the gold leaf workshop.
We are an older, slower, couple in our 70s so took taxis to most places. They are quick, and drivers were friendly and helpful.
The food was good too, especially the snow crab.
Great place to visit, we had 5 nights in Kanazawa.,

Komatsu is a nice place. Great view of the mountains. Kind of a sleepy town. Other than the 'snack - men's bar' places near the station the town really does go to sleep early. Did not really eat anywhere interesting, super markets and conbini. Was there once for the child kabuki frestival. That cannot be beat!

The review is on Yamanaka - a part of Kaga.
The review is on Yamanaka - a part of Kaga. It is a historical Onsen village, with many local crafts, and easy walking in rural area around it. Considering the relaxed layback atmosphere, it is possible to stay longer and pace the various attractions, for complete relaxation. Also, the other Onsen towns in Kaga should offer similar interests.
And last but not least - very accessible through train.

The seaside accomodation was just as advertised. The host was helpful and a delight. She made sure we had a lovely 2 nights there. Rooms were well presented and large with amenities that were first rate.
The glass manufacture workshop and the glass museum were well woth the trip. The glass gallery is world class and the architecture special and suited to its location. The aquarium was disappointing. Show was good but the maintenance of the facility needs work.

Kanazawa is incredible.
Kanazawa is incredible. I spent hours exploring Kenrokuen Garden, Kanazawa Castle, and the Higashi Chaya District. Both the garden and castle grounds are so serene that you completely lose track of the outside world. To top it off, Higashi Chaya feels like a genuine step back in time with its gorgeous, historic geisha districts. You truly forget about time and place while wandering here. Highly recommended for a peaceful, unforgettable cultural experience!

Kaga appears ti be declining.
Kaga appears ti be declining. There ae some gems to be found like the museum of ice and snow. It is a great shame that the fountain in the lake has not been working for some time. I think that either the local authorities or a consortium of businesses need to tidy up the derelict properties and generally keep tidy the streets and lanes as is the case elsewhere in Japan

The garden and green spaces were exceptionally beautiful. I would not have wanted to miss it. The old neighborhoods and small museums were fascinating. We had our best meal in Japan in Kanazawa at the ‘Barrier’ restaurant.

The main attraction at Kaga are the Onsen towns.
The main attraction at Kaga are the Onsen towns. Best to visit with a car. The towns are charming with lots of coffee and cake cafes and lacquerware shops. Not many places to get proper meals. Forest walk along the river is very pretty. This place is very quiet with very few people around.
