We absolutely loved the staff and the size of the rooms. The staff was so kind and helpful, always available for any questions you have. They really go above and beyond while being super discrete and respectful. The rooms were super clean and spacious. Great view and really well equipped. We also enjoyed the pool very much. My family has been visiting Orient bay for many years and we have stayed at other hotels in the area. Palm Court is by far the best value with 4 star accommodations. The free breakfast by the pool was wonderful. Fresh croissants straight from the oven! The Junior Suite Family room was perfect, with 2 large king beds, kitchenette and spacious patio with loungers and outdoor seating in the garden. Anne with the reception is charming and warm. All the staff are so kind and helpful. Loungers at Wai Plage on Orient beach included- BIG PLUS! We will return! LOVED, LOVED LOVED OUR STAY!!!

Great location in the gourmet food town of Grand Cade. Worth a trip there just to try the excellent restaurants. Hevea is under going renovations that promise to be amazing when finished. The new owners are very helpful and friendly. Great find!

This is downtown Phillipsburg. I did not expect a a resort atmosphere. The shops and location were perfect. The shops close earlier then I expected but it was off season. The staff was fabulous. They all went out of their way to make us feel special! From housekeeping, the security staff, the bartenders and the wait staff they couldn't be more friendly and accommodating. The beach chairs were nice with the extra cushion. Service was good. I wouldn't say a whole week but afew days was perfect!

Beautiful location with lots of amenities including on site departure for activities we wanted like snorkeling and other island trips. Our villas were well furnished with everything we needed and very comfortable; nice to have full kitchens. Lots of good restaurants at the resort and also appreciated the market to buy groceries. Nice beach. Enjoyed some evening music entertainment. Staff were friendly and helpful. Loved everything about the resort!

I would say that from all the island the best place for couples is orient bay and within orient bay La playa is the go to hotel!!

Loved the hotel. Room was a nice size and came with a kitchenette, beds comfy abd the shower was hot. Centrally located so you have access to everything you need, plenty of restaurants on and near the property. Pool and gym access. Scenic views of the bay. Do the city tour… so you can get a snapshot of the island… eat at the local eateries..,they’re the best. Revial has THE best breakfast, Buccaneers and Shoreline (hole in the wall but the most authentic food) the beaches are gorgeous enjoy as many as you can. You can also take a ferry to nearby Anguilla and St Barts

Ideal for shopping for jewelry bargains or finding nice little restaurants, walking through the area and learning about the history of Philipsburg and the other Dutch islands. A great store for souvenirs is the Amsterdam Cheese and Liquor Store....excellent cheeses, alcohol and assorted Dutch ceramics. Fully air-conditioned for your enjoyment...we went there twice and loved it. If you are, like me, a history buff, visit the Pasanggrahan Guest House, former home to the governor of St. Maarten and where the King and Queen of Holland stayed during their visits to St. Maarten....now a small inn. The front desk staff will kindly allow to have a look around.

Baie Nettle is very secluded bank of land within short drive to Marigot. This is only recommended for those who are willing to drive as there is essentially nothing there and the beach is not good enough to swim but there are some a few minutes away by car. The area is quite, clear and feels completely safe.

Orient Bay is a very long fairly narrow beach with a number of beach bars and restaurants that each own a number of beach chairs and umbrellas that are available for rent. It seems that $20 or 20Euro per day with two included drinks is typical for the more southern end but in the central area prices can be higher - up to 40E per day. We ate at Le String, Aloha and Kakao. All were good but Kakao was much more pricey. The beach is very nice with fine sand and clear turquoise water. However, the day after it rained the water was churned up with seaweed and sand. One of the best things about Orient Bay is the "La Place du Village" in the centre with a number of restaurants around a central area with a stage. We tried several of the restaurants and liked all of them but they are all quite pricey, except Roasty's is the most affordable. Parking can be an issue if you don't get to the beach early enough. The main road through the resort area has a number of speed bumps and potholes (like elsewhere on St Martin). We drove around the island to see other beaches but didn't find another beach as nice as Orient Bay.

A year ago at the end of a cruise in St Maarten, we commented that maybe we should spend some time there, At the end of the same cruise this year we spent 3 nights in Marigot, influenced by significant airline savings by traveling later - enough to pay for the three nights, plus some. But with a car, the island only takes one day to circumnavigate and see the high spots unless you want to hang out on one of the many beaches - not for us. Two nights with a car for one day would have been plenty.

Quiet area with beautiful views from the hillsides. Easy enough to get around, with beaches, shops, and adequate number of restaurants nearby. Easy access to Anse Marcel, Orient Bay, Grand Case and ferry to Pinel. Love the pizza restaurants, like Pepe's and the Super U is great for shopping when staying at a villa.

Such a lovely place.

Such a lovely place. Very modern and new, it’s very clean, spacious bedroom with a couch seating area and stunning beachfront property. Even though we did not have a balcony with ocean view we had a great shared terrace and beachfront access. Definitely would stay here again. So many delicious restaurants all walking distance. Photos are just as advertised!

Unexpected stay -- definitely rent a car, had I been better prepared I would have done so, as taxi rates if traveling solo are expensive. Amazing beaches, calm tranquil waters. There is a free beach sandwiched between two paying beaches. The Anse Marcel Beach Resort offers 2 seats + umbrella for 30 Euros + lunch (its connected to a restaurant). Local dinner at Del Arti (Italian); and took taxis to Grande Case & Orient Bay for the other 2 nights. Some of the best French food this side of the Atlantic.

We enjoyed our stay very much.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The apartment had spectacular views of the ocean from every room. The location was another plus. It was a short walk to the beach, cafes/restaurants/bars, casino and nightlife. Plenty of transportation available in area. Our host reached out to us several times to make sure that we were ok. Would recommend to friends and family.

It was a great trip.

It was a great trip. Favorite spots include mullet bay beach, moonbar, beer garden, mimosa sky lounge, in all maho is a great spot to stay due to the lively vibes. We ate at the burger bar, with the best burgers ever. Getting around in Lowlands was so easy, you can walk everywhere.
