Absolutely amazing place! The winery is really vast, they produce excellent wines and their restaurants are superb. The stuff in the hotel did everything for us and we felt as really exceptional guests. This place is just spotless - you can feel like in a winery in Tuscany. It was the best spot in our whole Mexico trip. The only thing we regretted was that our staying there was too short.

A great place to unwind and rest. Rise early morning, go for a walk, have coffee and breakfast, walk down in the centro for the day, take tramvia or turibus guided tour, watch mummies and mines, catch up with a late lunch, and enjoy beautiful sunset and dinner.

We absolutely love León!
We absolutely love León! It’s a huge, vibrant city with so much to see and do. Of course, our favorite part is visiting family and spending time with everyone, but we also love going to Centro. There are so many great restaurants,great zoo to explore, local food spots, shops, and many beautiful places to explore.
Another thing we love about León is the location. It’s a great home base for visiting other amazing cities like San Miguel de Allende and Guanajuato.
The only downside and it’s really not even a complaint is the traffic. León is a very busy city, so definitely plan extra time when driving anywhere.
We always enjoy our time here and look forward to coming back! ❤️🇲🇽

I wanted to go to the market and the plaza, but the traffic, particularly the bike and motorcycle traffic, were seriously dangerous. Very crowded and not picturesque to see (what I saw). I changed plans and departed for the hotel. But, if looking for places to eat, I recommend Los Plebes, an outdoor covered restaurant with great food and good service between town center and the airport.

The hotel was located near downtown and many restaurants. The city of Dolores has a lot of history to visit, and people are very friendly and helpful. The Restaurant Mama Mia is a great place to eat, and the Entertainment is great. Highly recommend it. If you are looking for a great culture experience and a good hotel, I recommend both.

Salamanca is not really a tourist area.
Salamanca is not really a tourist area. I was there visiting Mexican family. if you are not Mexican it is not a very safe place to be. It has a large refinery which burns off gases 24/7. Whereas Guanajuato is a lovely town nearby to stay and visit. Lots to see and do. It's a student town and tourists will feel safe here.

I had looked at Youtube videos about Guanajuato city, but...
I had looked at Youtube videos about Guanajuato city, but they do not do justice to the entire city. Not just down town, but all the callejones and a choice I made to walk the Panoramica calle, around the city. The views of the city from different sites was amazing, but it was the mountains that rose up around you. They were stunning.
I would recommend people to take a walk along the Panoramica, even it is only 40 minutes. The views are amazing which include the ruins of old stone factories, For me the downtown was great, but the views and walking around the city was the best.

Our trip was fantastic -- what a lovely place to be, to walk, to take pictures. Beyond the historical center of the city, we made time to see the botanical gardens and get outside of the city to enjoy the Cañada de la Virgen archaeological site. My partner really loved both excursions (and he tends to not get too excited about these kind of things, so clears wins on both counts).

Leon is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, rich in Mexican culture and history. It's also Mexico's leather goods and shoe production / sale center. If you don't plan a trip to Leon as a destination but are visiting Guanajuato or San Miguel de Allende you won't go wrong making a day-trip to Leon.
