Point 1: The room allocated to us, had a bed smelling in the bathroom, we have asked to fix, but no success and they had to change our room. Point 2: on both rooms they gave kits for one person. In the first night we called the receptionist and they replaced everything. In the second day same thing happened and they didn’t replace anything. It was very disappointing situation to me and my wife.

Hotel Cardoso and the neighborhood (High School, Natural History Museum) is part of my dear childhood memories, and this stay was simply such a blessing for me.     The hotel is located right next to the Cathedral of Maputo. WiFi connection was stable and good quality. Breakfast was included and had a variety of choices. The receptionist Mr. Ibraimo Lai was amazing: he was very professional and helpful. We booked a basic room, and we asked if he could assign a room at higher floor, and he ended up upgraded us to a suite room, which has the best view of the city. If one day we come back to Pestana Rovuma, he will be one of the factors.

    Liked the beach and food. Don't like the fact that there is no English in that country. Communication is extremely difficult... It's close to impossible and mostly locals take advantage to mistreat of rob by over hanging prices.

    The place needs spring cleaning.EVERYTHING WAS DIRTY AND UNACCEPTABLE. DIRTY BLOOD AND HAIR ON BEDDING, HOLE IN SHEET,bedding was not changed,bath and room not mopped. staff were unfriendly and unwilling to help,even curtains were stained. poor and dirty quality. never stay here.

    There was unrest so not great to move around at night (or day in some parts). Where I was staying it felt very safe and the area is nice. Further out towards the airport it is not great... But there is a lovely energy to the place and looking forward to my next trip back.

    Wonderful city...especially the sea-side though hot and humid temperatures can be uncomfortable. Love cycling early morning on Saturdays to Marracuene and back with less traffic congestion.Brisk walking along beach.Superb restuarant at Costa da Sol.
