The Skjolden Hotel was the high point of my trip. I was passing through the area and stayed for three nights. I was immediately captivated by the view of the fjord, then stayed for the excellent food from the kitchen and the lovely staff. if I had the time I would have stayed for a week.

It was clean and located well for our purposes. It had laundry facilities. The hotel restaurant was excellent! We got their lamb special for the evening and it was delicious, tender, and a very large portion. The staff was very helpful and even carried our heavy suitcases up the steps.

The farm house is located in a very beautiful area, it’s beautiful house, nicely decorated with amazing views. Huge clean kitchen, cozy rest areas and some areas of the house are just a museum, also very comfortable bed. Ms Mara is a very friendly, nice and welcoming host - we did enjoy staying in the Eidi Gard, would highly recommend!

    The location was great as it’s on the way and not at one end of Sognefjellet. The view was beautiful. Great starting point for walks. The food was fantastic. Great chef! The staff and owner were available and helpful, and ensure I had anything I needed. The room was simple and comfortable, and there was plenty of hot water. The fireplace in the lobby area was great.

    This property was a big positive surprise. We had a big room with three sections; kitchen with couch and table and chairs, pretty big bathroom and very comfortable bedroom. The windows were on the whole wall giving us an amazing view! Everything was very clean and really new. There were 3 more, probably looking similar, rooms but with not that many windows and view.

    We drove along the bottom road and then hiked to the Feigefossen waterfall. We'll worth it, walking boots are required as rocky and uneven path. The supermarket is easily walked to, Mango IPA, a real treat for my partner, not had previously and apparently delicious 😋

    Beautiful location and stunning view. Good kitchen facilities and barbecue. Well furnished. Gorgeous garden and green house. Lovely hosts. Pool could have been a couple of degrees warmer. The showers flooding the shower room was annoying. Not much hot water. But overall, a lovely stay. We would stay again.
