Check-in and check-out were fast and smooth. The resort exceeded my expectations - one of the best places I stayed during my Norway trip. The room, design, and facilities were excellent. The breakfast had plenty of options with both cold and warm dishes, and the quality was very good. Overall, I would love to come back and stay longer next time. Truly an amazing experience!

This is an exceptionally beautiful part even by Norways high...

This is an exceptionally beautiful part even by Norways high standards. Lovely village with good facilities. Conveniant to vist the historic Heavy water plant and the 'Heroes of Telemark' story form the 2nd World War. We travelled on 6 motorbikes and were made very welcome.

The natural beauty of this place is truly beyond explanation—breathtaking landscapes and serene views that leave you in awe. However, getting there was quite the challenge. First, we had to take a bus, then a boat, and finally walk the trail. The hike was demanding, especially because much of it was uphill, requiring a lot of effort. Although parts of the trail were easier to manage, the steep uphill sections were tough, and the downhill portions required careful footing. One area that could be improved is the coordination between the boats and buses. There weren’t enough boats, which made the wait long, and the bus schedules didn't seem to align well with the rest of the journey, causing unnecessary delays. Also, the trail itself could use better maintenance. Certain sections were difficult and confusing to navigate, with little signage to guide the way. Enhancing the trail’s upkeep and providing clearer directions would greatly improve the experience, making the journey as enjoyable as the destination’s natural beauty.

The apartment and location was better than we expected.

The apartment and location was better than we expected. There was enough space for a family of 2 adults and 2 kids. It was clean and quiet there. The location itself is quite nice with great views. It is perfect place for relaxation.

Hotel and staff are excellent. I would loved to go back again very soon! Loved the breakfast so many options. I like the complimentary coffee it was very good. Room are Modern and comfy alots of space I booked the family room. Definitely will be back again.

The hotel lives out of the “good days” 20 years ago. Ventilator was making noise at 10.00 pm, switched off only after a request. It was not possible to open window more than 2 centimeters. Very spacious dining rooms and restaurant , but small rooms (at least the ones not facing the road.

A lovely little town on the shores of Norway's largest lake,...

A lovely little town on the shores of Norway's largest lake, Lake Mjøsa. Gjøvik town centre is pleasant with plenty of restaurants - I recommend the Fauno pizza place - and car parking. It's 40 km south of Lillehammer and 170 km north of Oslo and is an ideal stopover on the long drive south to Oslo or Torp airports. Gjøvik has excellent road and rail connections.

Stasjonen Hotel, right next to the railway station. The Olympic Park, walk 952 steps to the top of the ski jumps. Lillehammer bakery Norwegian Olympic museum plus Foundation Lillehammer museum Lillehammer pizzeria - delicious fish and chips Hvelvet restaurant for fine dining

It's a small place with quite a lot of history and it is...

It's a small place with quite a lot of history and it is popular during the day with tourists transiting through in mobile homes etc. There's good value shops to stock up on provisions and a couple of cafes - also a police station if you need them. I used it for a layover on a long train journey and for that it was ideal. There is some great countryside around with at least one very nice walk. Nothing much happens at night. I get the impression its a staging post above in the main and for that its ideal. The rail station is up hill from the town - be prepared if you're carrying bags etc.

All the way from the airport to Beitostol was just beautiful...

All the way from the airport to Beitostol was just beautiful. The receptionist was waiting for us and she was fast with the check in. The location is great for solo travellers as well as friends or family. There are attractions for kids as well. The supermarket was just across the road and the ski area was about 10 min walk or 3 min by car. Lots of places to eat around. Although , lots of cabins and trailers , the location was really quiet.
