breakfast can be better but it served the purpose as i only stayed 2 nights. Location was great, we walked almost everywhere we went. Central, the River Bars and restaurant, Coffee Shops. They allowed me to use the GYM after normal hours in the evening.

The staff at the reception is the best. She always made sure that I had all I needed to have a great time in Lampang. The location of the hotel is great: it is right at the center of the old town where I could walked to many places like temples, the weekend market, and many restaurants. Highly recommended this place.

This really was a lovely chilled and unpretentious place which will go down well for foreign budget travellers. Superb location right in town. Excellent WiFi. Nice semi outdoors sitting area, and a table facing the street. Horses are frequently passing and birds are singing at dusk. The lovely staff speak very good English and will fill you out with things to do. Cold Beer and some snacks are for sale. Free use of bicycles and it was a good one. I really liked that they don't clean the room every day, but put a plastic bag with water and toilet paper on your door. Breakfast was included , and it was ok, but had more Asian than western choices. I had the cheapest room , and it was clean and comfortable. The more expensive rooms had a table and chair outside on a shared balcony.

The location is great for an early morning bus! It’s 1 minute walk from the bus station! Bed was comfortable and having a fridge was nice! The room was clean and bathroom was nice. Would stay at a Hop Inn again!

    Delighted with everything. It is an older building, and as such is a little funky in some ways. My bathroom was not completely sealed off, the door lock was secure but old-fashioned, the door to the balcony was also funky. I was fine with all that. Part of the charm of an older building. If you don’t appreciate older things, this place may not be to your liking. Location is very convenient.

    I found a lot of the locals to be quite stand offish with white people. It was the only town we visited that felt like that in all of northern thailand. for that reason, I would not come back to Lampang.

    We weren't there long but it's a beautiful walking town. Not a lot to do although I hear they have a very good night market but it is just on the weekends so plan your stay around it. Otherwise it's a quiet town with not too much to do except relax.

    Lampang is a charming town with just enough to do for a few days to feel both relaxing and fulfilling. The river, historic bridges, wats, old town, architecture, and food were all draws. Lots of murals and symbols (chickens, horses), a very quiet pace, and friendly people. The things to see are very accessible on foot, but a unique way to see the city is to hire a horse carriage for an hour (about 500 baht). Some of the cafes and restaurants near the river are great quality and have super atmosphere. It is a city to stroll around and explore, enjoying the relaxed pace and sights. It's especially good for a getaway from busy Chiang Mai for a weekend.
