We were definitely among the first guests after the opening — and if we could have given 11 stars, we absolutely would have. From the very first moment, we felt exceptionally welcome. The entire hotel is designed with visible attention to detail: a beautifully renovated heritage building, stylishly modernized, very well maintained, and tastefully furnished. We were especially impressed by how skillfully historical design elements were integrated into the new overall concept. Elements of the original façade are reflected in the interior wall design — old and new are thoughtfully and elegantly connected. We were traveling with an infant and were completely surprised to find a small play area prepared in our room for our child. This gesture was not only professional, but genuinely warm and caring. Ting Ting was an exceptionally attentive host. She asked what we would like for breakfast, and everything was freshly sourced from the market. She was always available and took care of our wishes with natural warmth and dedication. Breakfast itself was outstanding: fresh, high quality, and served with large panoramic windows overlooking the market. You sit there with your coffee, watching the lively morning atmosphere — and feel truly immersed in the life of Trang. There were also many thoughtful touches: a Valentine’s greeting, tea brought to our room — small gestures that made a big difference. Conclusion: A hotel that doesn’t just open — it sets a standard, both aesthetically and personally. Absolute recommendation.

Perfect accomodation on the island, we stayed 4 nights and all was great. The owners are super friendly and helpful, there is also a restaurant just next to the bungalows serving delicious food. We really recommend this place for staying and enjoying Koh Mook!

We arrived too early (it was 9 am) and the host was so kind, she let us in a few hours before check in without any extra pay. Welcomed us with a cold, fresh juice. The houses are really nice, cosy and comfortable. There is everything what you need. A big bed with the beautiful view on the beach. The area is close to the restaurants, we recommend Perfect bar and restaurant nearby. In the morning the host served us a delicious breakfast (thai or traditional one) and a really good coffee + juice. 10/10!

1. The room is clean and spacious, has little kitchen to prepare your own breakfast, a big enough fridge 2. The staffs are excellent, they gave us 5 star service. My wife even gave them 8 Star for the services 3. You can't meet a host as best and kind like Joy, the owner. But please don't take her kindness for granted. She made us really enjoyed and love Trang. We love you, Joy!!! 4. The location is amazing. You can enjoy night market every night, it is only few minutes walk from Nara 5. The bed, and small kitchen inside the room were the best. We had wonderful sleep without problems.

Maison De Cheer We stayed here from the 9/03/24 through to the 11/03/24. A two night stay as we travelled back from Pak Meng Beach & then were travelling onto Patong on the 11/03/24. Check in was smooth & efficient & only Credit card or the Thai QR code system was accepted as payment. I used credit card as I don’t have access to the Thai QR code system. Our room was ready & we were able to check in at 12.30PM. Our room was 421 facing the rear of the property & I would suggest that if you have the opportunity, You should book a rear room as the road past the hotel is quite busy. In reception area there is tea/coffee facilities for free & ample seating if you must wait for anyone. There are toilets there as well. The breakfast area is behind a glass partition & hours for breakfast are 7-10am. Breakfast is a set menu & is 75THB=$AUD3.18. elevator in operation at the hotel & there is 5 floors. Concierge brought our bags to the room, set up the A/C & made sure everything was good. As we have found with most SE Asian beds, they were a little hard, so I went back down to the reception & requested pillow toppers for the beds & that was no problem for them to do so. A/C kept the room cool as the temperature whist in Trung was 38,39 Deg C for the two days. Our room configuration was two single beds, but they were quite spacious. Fridge kept the drinks cold & there were multiple power points available to charge devices. Bathroom area was quite good & the shower as reported before in my reviews was a wall heater for the hot water & it also had a separate cold-water shower. Amenities (shampoo, toilet paper, hand wash supplied & room serviced daily.  There is a courtyard on the 4th floor that is a great place to just sit & relax as well. Location is a key point with Maison as it is just across the railway lines from the Train station.

The absolute perfect holidays. We LOVED staying here, I have never felt more relaxed. Particularly loved the attention to detail in the design of the rooms, the fact that it's a fairly small hotel, the staff, the beauty of the island (not touristic at all). 10/10. Cannot recommend more.

It’s a good place to get stocked up before you head to the...

It’s a good place to get stocked up before you head to the quieter islands. They are no day trip boats here so it is much quieter than other larger islands. It’s super easy to get around either by tuk tuk 50 baht per person or you can hire mopeds. There are no roads as such, but paved pavements so also easy to walk everywhere. Boat trips around the island are perfect and the sunset from Charlie Beach is stunning. I could have stayed longer. Super chill island vibe.

Ko Mook is a quiet island with not that much to do. Book a trip to the Emerald Cave with snorkelling stops, including a couple of hours on Ko Kradan, spend a few hours on Charlie Beach (Sunset Beach), and lounge around in the various restaurants and bars, but 3 or 4 nights should be enough...

The snorkelling is excellent. The island gets busy between the hours of 10:30 and 15:30 due to visitors arriving by speed boat or longtail from other islands / locations, but outside these hours it is very tranquil and peaceful. Be aware of the difficult access to and from ferry boats via a very wobbly narrow jetty (especially if arriving at high tide. Also there is a 200 Thai Baht national park fee per person payable on arrival on the island

Koh Libong is a sleepy little island that you can explore in a day. Motorbike is the best way to get around (200 baht) from local village store. it has a relaxed vibe and the locals are lovely and friendly. there are no crowds, no hustle, no bustle… just a laid back island which is like going back in time. Take the bike and visit the Dugong viewpoint, Leekpai bridge and the tower.. head to the main village and enjoy an iced coffee with the locals.. go to the stone bridge and the beach beyond to see the true beauty of the island… with the sun on your skin and the wind in your hair, a motorbike ride around the island is a must…

We came for a short two night car trip from Klong Muang.

We came for a short two night car trip from Klong Muang. We were here last year at the beginning of January. Came back primarily because we loved the resort we stayed at. Last year, Pak Meng Beach was crowded and very dirty with garbage strewn all over. This year we happened to come during Ramadan and the beach and restaurants were very quiet and it was very clean, which made a world of difference and transformed it to a wonderful place to return.

Fantastic again!!! The best we have done in Thailand. It’s small, can walk everywhere. No proper roads, they are block paved streets. Beaches are wow!!!! Food on the island is excellent. It’s very authentic, a real island with real family, there are 1200 Thais who live on the island so it’s very close knit. I wish we stayed longer.

Koh Mook is lovely and quiet. Lovely and helpful people. 50 bhat po in moped taxi whereever and 250 bhat for rent moto pr day. Some important notes: No toilet at Charlie’s beach Use repellent on beaches - lot of agressive sandflies and mosquitos Too much garbage everywhere

I know Trang from my early days, some 34 years ago when I...

I know Trang from my early days, some 34 years ago when I lived here... There are just a few parts of Thailand that can match the diversity and lush green surroundings - one would be Khao Lak. Trang has many limestone caves, temples and an abundance of waterfalls and islands to explore. I still love this place very much today, after such a long time and keep coming back with my family. If you want to explore Thailand unspoilt and like in the good old days, away from the crowds, Trang is the perfect choice for you!

Island is completely pointless to visit unless the weather is good. With gray skies the price of the island is not worth going to. It's too expensive compared to other parts of the country. Sadly I stayed 4 days and didn't see the sun once

It's not walkable from pier to resorts or attractions, but motor-taxis are readily available and inexpensive (or you can rent your own motor bike), and the locals are friendly, quiet and respectful. Great 'diamond in the rough' island!!
