We only stayed 2 nights with one real day.
We only stayed 2 nights with one real day. Didn’t see Deadwood, explore Keystone, except to see Mt Rushmore, didn’t have time to see Crazy Horse, or other places nearby. One full day for the Badlands and Wall (drug), and easily 1.5 hours at Mount Rushmore.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0
So much history! A little pricey. Lots to do.
So much history! A little pricey. Lots to do. Bordello tour was super interesting. Cemetary where Calamity Jane and Wild Bill Hickock rest was beautiful! Check out the view from the flag post. Bar where Wild Bill was shot was interesting to see. The Gem was about the only pave that had good food at reasonable prices. Upstairs... get a table by the window looking out on to main street. Summer months they have outdoor free concerts. We happened to be there for a Fleetwood Mac tribute band...alot of fun! For a romantic hotel try the 1890 Inn.Guest review byRNaylorUnited States - 10.0

Custer is a cute little town about halfway between Mt.
Custer is a cute little town about halfway between Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse Memorial and an ease drive through the Needles Parkway and Custer State Park. Well situated. The only problem that we had was finding a place to eat on Monday night; many of the moderately-priced restaurants were closed, and it was frustrating trying to find a place to take the kids to get something they would eat.Guest review byMarchUnited States - 10.0
Hill City is a great place to stay.
Hill City is a great place to stay. It's beautiful and right in the middle of all Black Hills attractions. Keystone is like 15 min drive away, Sylvan Lake is 3 miles away, Rapid City is 27 miles. Everywhere you drive, the scenery is amazing, so even driving 30 minutes to Rapid City is a quick, pleasurable drive. Hill Citys Main street has lots of nice dining and shopping options, including a Subway for a picnic lunch at Sylvan Lake. Hill City also has a nice Grocery store and a hardware store, unlike Keystone. I'd highly recommend staying in Hill City to get the full Black Hills living experience.Guest review byJeffUnited States - 10.0

Nice quite town after the rally, but a lot to do in the surrounding areas. Close to Deadwood and Spearfish Canyon. Plenty to do in the Black Hills. If you are on a motorcycle, you will not find a better place to ride. Roads are perfect and the Counties keep them well maintained. Custer State Park and Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse are well worth checking into! Fantastic weather most of the time.Guest review byMaas - 10.0

The smokehouse in downtown Hot Springs was fabulous I had smoked pulled pork my husband had the burrito they give you large portions. We loved the pioneer museum, if you like pioneer history go check it out. The mammoth site is a must see lots of history there. They also had a great pizza place one time we did a tswana had Buffalo meat, pineapple, meat the crust was homemade it was delicious. The hotel experience was great the staff was friendly and helpful with suggestions on what sites to go see. I would recommend this hotel. It was easy to find and get to.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0

There are many things to do in the area, much of them are closed in the winter, except for outdoor activities. We have been there many times throughout the year, summer is always hopping with something going on like Hot Harley Nights, the Corvette rally, Sturgis week, Mustang rally, off road 4x4s etc. Winter time it is snow mobiling and skiing.Guest review byRobertUnited States - 8.0
