Offering complimentary WiFi, Avenue Inn & Spa offers accommodations in Rehoboth Beach. The hotel has a sun terrace, an on-site bar and complimentary private parking at the property. We stayed at the Avenue II which is about 1/2 a block from the Avenue. No elevator, but we were just up 1 flight of outside stairs. There was a lot of space in the room and it was comfortable and casual. There were 2 beds, (called queens- but I'm pretty sure were fulls), a full size couch, coffee table, and a small dinette set. Lot's of room in between everything for us and our son and the bathroom was spacious as well. Just outside our door were 2 all weather rockers and a full patio set to relax on as well for the whole floor. We did not have any problems with noises from the nearby bar at night. We had to walk the 1/2 block to get the free breakfast, but it was worth it. Lots of choices that changed daily and plenty of hot, strong coffee. Lots of spaces to sit and eat as well in the beautiful lobby areas. Warm chocolate chip cookies put out at 8 pm, pool, exercise room, sauna, and a hot-tub. Plus a ride down to the beach with use of their beach chairs if needed. What else could you ask for in a reasonably priced room blocks from Rehoboth Beach boardwalk?

Seaford is a delightful laid-back city in lower Delaware. It is located on Route 13, the major highway through the state. The area has a lot of history and nature sites. It is within 35 minutes of the beaches and outlets. There is a decent choice of eating establishments, both chains and independently owned sites. Having grown up in the area, I become refreshed returning to friendly people and courteous drivers. The city itself is growing commercially and is approximately 30 minutes from larger cities such as Salisbury, MD (home of Salisbury State University and a minor league baseball team) and Dover, DE (capital of Delaware and home to a large airbase. A friendly area to visit and explore.
surprised at the beaches in Delaware. beautiful. Rehoboth Beach was a classic seaside town of shops restaurants hotels. Nice place to visit
Very friendly people at every place I went. Clean beach at the Delaware seashore state park, not too crowded even on a Sunday. Great food at every meal. Parking on the evening can take a few spins around the block.
Delaware City is a charming example of small town DE. There are only two restaurants, only one serves breakfast and doesn't open until 11 am. It isn't a destination resort, but can serve as a base for exploring "slower Delaware. " The refinery may be off putting to some.
We LOVE visiting Rehoboth Beach and travel there for vacations several times a year. We live in NJ and much prefer the beaches of Delaware over those of our home state.
Dover has many historical attractions to visit. The John Dickinson Plantation, Johnson Victrola Museum, Biggs Art Museum and Delaware Agriculture Museum just to mention a few. Byler's Store has the best ice cream and a scoop is $1. No sales tax is a great perk.
A lovely area though the beach itself is small and crowded. Very annoying to have to pay for parking even after the beach is closed at night and 2.00 per hour gets expensive quickly. Highly recommend two excellent restaurants: Perruccis and Off the Hook. Close to two Delaware State Park beaches which are lovely.
I got the chance to visit "The Jane and Littleton Mitchell Center For African American Heritage". It is so beautiful!! I'm in Birmingham, Alabama it gave me so much joy to see the display of "The Four Little Girls that died in Sixteenth Street Baptist Church. If your ever in Wilmington please go to the Delaware Historical Society Museum. It is awesome!!!!
If you are ever in Harrington Delaware, you must stay at the holiday in express. It was the best hotel I have ever stayed in. People were so friendly. Rooms the cleanest I have ever seen. The breakfast bar was the best I have ever had at any one hotel. And I travel a lot.
We were there for University of Delaware’s Graduation. Newark has plenty to offer! I like the proximity to Route 95, we like to eat on Main Street, near U Delaware, it is also close to the countryside, heading to Wilmington.

The WiFi didn’t work! One of the most important things nowadays. We were there for parents weekend at the University of Delaware. My husband still needed to work and he actually had to go to the hotel right next-door! Unacceptable especially since you jacked up the price for parents weekend! The sign outside desperately needs to be replaced.! Whoever is in charge should not be. The poor employees are very pleasant. Doing their best to work with a bad product! Would like a discount.

I loved that the rooms had separate balconies. It was also a short walk to the beach/boardwalk (2 blocks), which was very nice for us since the last time we stayed in Delaware we had about a 20 minute walk there and back. My fiance also proposed to me on the beach, so this is definitely our new getaway spot, and we will definitely be returning to sandcastle! Also, the staff is very good with giving you the privacy you want, they will not come bother you everyday.

The staff was wonderful - that is the best thing that I can say about this Best Western. Helpful, encouraging, and accommodating. And I loved the fact that this hotel is directly across the street from my favorite restaurant! Also, I must say this: I left my laptop charger in my room - and was called by the staff to let me know. By this time, I couldn't return to Delaware - so I sent them a box and they returned the charger to me. Good customer service!

The staff was very pleasant, the room was clean and breakfast was very good. The price of the room was great as well. We attended a charity event at the University of Delaware. The hotel was perfect - worth driving 6 miles for the cost of the room and cleanliness. Have been to other hotels closer and the cost was 50% more and the rooms were below average. I would highly recommend this hotel to others.

Everything was great. The 1st room we were given had an issue with the heat. We called front desk and Cheryl came right up, she determined that we did have an issue with heat control, she relocated us to another room ASAP. She was awesome and extremely friendly and helpful. This was my second stay at this Hotel in Rehoboth beach Delaware and I will be back!!!

Brand new hotel (March '17) conveniently located down the road from University of Delaware. Booked last minute for UD graduation, we were able to walk to the stadium from the hotel. Hotel required two night stay but that worked for us. Clean and nicely decorated suites, pleasantly surprised and reasonably priced. Would highly recommend.

It's not my typical hotel of choice. The best thing was the location. The accommodation is on par for the type and price of hotel. But maid service is sub par. Would stay there only because it's the only choice when we visit our daughter at University of Delaware.

Lashon the women working in Newark Delaware was extremely overwhelmed. But in spite of that did not only accommodate all my issues but everyone else at the front of the hotel. This woman was the best people pleaser I've ever been and deserves recognition.
