The Perch is a warm and inviting hotel. The rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet. The lobby or common room is large, inviting, and has small vases of fresh cut flowers . It has a large fireplace as well as many comfortable areas to sit, relax, read. or socialize. This room has a panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys which are stellar, as was the hospitality and personalized service that Katie provided for each of her guests during my stay! I look forward to returning to this peaceful haven in the future.

Exceptional. Cute quaint atmosphere expertly curated by Sonya. The breakfast, which is a collection of local craft bagels, pastries and yogurt/granola/berries, is a great start to the day. Good location (short walk to the Roscoe strip), and the dinner meals that Sonya offers are made right next to you as you relax in the living room next to the fire. Everything is perfect, and in the two times I've stayed here, Sonya has gone above and beyond with her kindness. Already looking forward to our next stay.

This is the perfect hotel for a vacation in the Catskills. The rooms are extremely quiet and comfortable. The hotel is perfectly located, near golf courses and trout streams. My wife and I caught 14” brook trout in the morning right behind the hotel, then played a round of golf in the afternoon. After dinner at one of the many restaurants in town, we enjoyed chatting with other guests while sitting at the hotel’s bonfire. The owners are incredibly kind and helpful, and went out of their way to provide extras, including a French press of decaf coffee for me each morning. We booked for 3 nights and stayed for 6. We highly recommend this hotel and look forward to our next visit.

Best price/value in the area for a classy lodge experience that provides all expected amenities. All the details are perfect….Tavern fireplace, reading/social area with fireplace and fresh coffee, scented shampoo and conditioner to match the outdoor freshness, outdoor s'mores fireplace with view of mountain and centralized location to Hunter mountain, the antique shops and some great restaurants (like Jessie’s Harvest House) of Tannersville and all hiking trails. 2 min to Hunter and min to Tannersville.

Mountain view and clean room.

Mountain view and clean room. Did not like the male manager. Did not like the breakfast. Cereal was not in a sealed container so it was soggy and steal. You served bagels and toaster did not work enough to even melt the hard butter. Had boiled eggs was the only choice. Biker chapter set up a tent on the mountain view side and was very loud and no one else could enjoy the back patio. The 13 to 14 bikers parked under the awning all day and night so that you couldn't park to unload or even walk up the front steps. We had to go around to the handicap walkway.

Catskill is a town, which we didn't visit this time, but it is also the Mountains. We used to live in the area for the summers from 1985 - 95, so we know it well. We visited the site of the old Catskill Mountain House, and also the Kaaterskill Falls Observation deck, which was wonderful on this beutiful spring day. Also visited the Storm King Art Center on the way up, which was also wonderful.

Cozy & friendly town with everything you need nearby.

Cozy & friendly town with everything you need nearby. There’s even a lovely wine & spirits store down the way. The winery is only open on weekends and with late hours- not conducive to Friday 11AM checkout times. Also, beware of the 55 MPH maximum speed limit with frequent speed traps & State Troopers fishing for tourists to ticket. They ask you a TON of questions (where you’re staying, where you’re headed, etc.) & then ticket you. That part is rather unpleasant.

I booked using an app.

I booked using an app. It was easy and I got the room as described. We needed a dog-friendly place and this was one of 2 in the area. In fact their green space was big and good for the dog to sniff out rabbits, but none were sighted. The property was clean and room comfortable. The front desk agent recommended the restaurant across the street and the meal there was decent. The breakfast was pretty much what is offered everywhere else, but we just have coffee from the dining room, and do not use the coffee system in the room, which had a refrigerator and a microwave.

Woodstock is a quaint and quirky little town that lives up to its history. Steeped in culture, music, and art it’s a unique throwback to a time of peace, love, and understanding, mixed with a bit of counterculture and free thinking. It’s also got a thriving culinary scene as well as funky bars and shops. There’s something for everyone.
