We went back from Washington DC to Montreal and found this location because we wanted to visit the FDR house and the museum. We stay only a night but we know this hotel being part of Bonvoy-Marriott chain. We stayed on other Bonvoy hotels and the experience was great. Overall here at Inn at Bellefield Residence Inn by Marriott we enjoyed our staying. We had a room having in fact 2 rooms inside: one with 2 queen beds and one with a sofa. The entire room was quite large. It had also a small kitchen so all comfort. The cleanness was also great. The hotel personnel was very nice always willing to help you. The morning breakfast was also diversified and I would say it was good We would recommend this hotel especially that is very close to few museums or places of interest to see: FDR house and museum, Vanderbilt Mansion National Historic Site, The Culinary Institute of America,... Great location for a great value.

We arrived early and let us check in, there was home made cookies and coffee / tea always in the lobby, everyone was very friendly. The room was amazing, very large, fridge, microwave and four large double bed bunkbeds. Very cool for my teenaged children. bathroom was huge with very nice toiletries to use and everything was very clean.

Beautiful place with so much to do.

Beautiful place with so much to do. I love the little shops. So many great places to eat. Close to the city for a day travel. NP has a park and ride which is free and wonderful! The rail trail is great! Mohonk Mt house and Minnewaska have wonderful trails, beautiful views and swimming!

Kingston has that old-fashioned, small-town feel. It is pretty friendly and has a number of good restaurants with different cuisines. If you like hiking, there are rustic trails with breathtaking views.

Cozy & friendly town with everything you need nearby. There’s even a lovely wine & spirits store down the way. The winery is only open on weekends and with late hours- not conducive to Friday 11AM checkout times. Also, beware of the 55 MPH maximum speed limit with frequent speed traps & State Troopers fishing for tourists to ticket. They ask you a TON of questions (where you’re staying, where you’re headed, etc.) & then ticket you. That part is rather unpleasant.

Saugerties seems like a nice town that supplies the local gentry from Woodstock with groceries and cheap labor. Antique Malls, shops where one buys rocks and vintage goods abound. The bookstore was awesome. We had an excellent diner breakfast at the edge of town, and we found expensive firewood that was still less expensive as buying at the campsite. The people were friendly, the parking affordable, and the walk from one end to the other of the "shopping district" not onerous. Downtown Woodstock seemed to be alternating expensive hiking and craft goods with cheap tee shirt shops. And by cheap, I mean not cheap. We had one meal at the Red Onion, where the steak had been butterflied and overcooked, and were were ignored for long periods of time in favor of the large round table of jodhpur girls being over served white wine, if general volume and shrillness were any guide.

Honestly, very peaceful, quiet.

Honestly, very peaceful, quiet. The staff was accessible and answered right away, pleasant. My boyfriend found this restaurant for us to have breakfast, it’s called Lindsay’s, their food was fresh and it’s about a ten minute drive from the cabin. Dress comfortable, walk with a poncho. Overall be prepared to just kick back and relax. Only one thing that I didn’t enjoy was the S’mores kit, graham crackers are better.

The CIA (Culinary Institute of America) was nearby and available for dining at a reasonable cost but reservations had to be made many days in advance. The Roosevelt Estate and Vanderbilt Mansion were well worth taking the time to tour. South in Poughkeepsie there is a Hudson River Walk going over the Hudson River on an old Railroad bridge than was really nice

Mountain view and clean room.

Mountain view and clean room. Did not like the male manager. Did not like the breakfast. Cereal was not in a sealed container so it was soggy and steal. You served bagels and toaster did not work enough to even melt the hard butter. Had boiled eggs was the only choice. Biker chapter set up a tent on the mountain view side and was very loud and no one else could enjoy the back patio. The 13 to 14 bikers parked under the awning all day and night so that you couldn't park to unload or even walk up the front steps. We had to go around to the handicap walkway.

Sullivan County is a fascinating mix of natural beauty and diverse cultures. Monticello is a good jumping-off spot for experiencing the different parts of the overall county. Nearby counties such as Orange and Ulster also have a lot to offer.

Tannersville is a nice enough little town.

Tannersville is a nice enough little town. There are some restaurant, but there's not an awful lot of choice. I liked the place most for being in the middle of the Catskills and an easy drive from the Devil's Path.

Bring some of your own breakfast food, especially fruit. Use your own GPS to get around town. Got mistaken directions. Get help with TV channels. Very comfortable bed very clean, good bathroom, nice towels, staff friendly. Go to Pasquale for dinner.
