Very clean. Original idea of sleeping in wagons. We got as welcome present marshmallows with sticks for fire so kids enjoyed. A lot of sport facilities for kids (bikes, ping pong, volleybal and a lot of different games). Really great free hot chocolate/coffee/tea at reception, great helpful staff.

Moab is awesome.
Moab

Moab is awesome. The city is beautiful, there are so many excellent excursions for families, and the City market, gas stations, and restaurants provide everything a family needs to enjoy a stress free vacation. Arches and Canyonlands are absolutely amazing! We also found a trail called the Mill Creek Canyon Trail that led to a waterfall and swimming hole - a perfect activity for kids on a hot day. We will definitely be back.

Salt Lake City

Too hot during my visit-107 at the high point, but areas in the canyons were nice. I did a side trip towards Provo and Bridal Veil Falls-very beautiful creek and lots of shade trees in the area. Great place for a short hike, and lots of places to rest or picnic with tables and benches along the path. Also drove out to Antelope Island and saw the bison herd. Too hot to hike much and the smell of death outside around the lake, which is very low in water was not pleasant. Unusual area and no one lives near the lake area. Seeing it for the first time, it reminded me of Death Valley in CA.

Bryce Canyon

We have traveled to Bryce Canyon about 3 different times taking grandkids out to see other parts of the United States. It is just North of the Grand Canyon and South of Yellow Stone. Take time to visit all Three of these while you are in the area. If you have time go Custer State Park also. Here you can see the Crazy Horse Museum and Mr. Rushmore in the Black Hills Badlands. So many things to see in this Beautiful country.

Springdale

We had a wonderful stay in Springdale. The location was excellent, with easy access to Zion National Park and beautiful views all around. The accommodation was comfortable, clean, and a perfect base after a day of exploring. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

St. George

The town is cute and quaint. Beautiful scenery. Not much diversity. Very "stepford wives" kind of feel. People are very nice there. Lots of niche places. Zion is close by and highly recommend for hiking. Go and visit the Hot Springs as well. Very easy to get around the city. I came here on business so I only had a day to explore. I chose the Hot Springs and would come back again just for that and the national park.

Bluff

There are lots of things to do and see in the Bluff area. Don't miss the Sand Island petroglyphs! Bluff is also close by to Blanding and its excellent museum collection of Anasazi artifacts (state park), and not too far from Hovenweep ruins (don't miss this if you have the time).

Monument Valley

Monument Valley is one of the most beautiful and surreal places I have ever visited. I could not get enough of the views. I booked a back country tour with Navajo Tribal Tours and our guide, Larry, was extremely knowledgeable and easily educated everyone on the tour about the Valley. The next day, I drove through the Valley in my own vehicle and experienced even more beauty. My eyes could not take it all in. My spirit connected to the nature and history of the land. Highly recommended.

Tropic

This little town is a good place to spend the night, but doesn't really offer anything aside from a restaurant with live country music and a pretty natural setting. Its a place to stay overnight while you participate in the nearby activities related to the national park and general outdoors.

Just a short drive to one of Utah’s breathtaking places. Red Rock and Canyon City are so worth it. Purple Sage is so reasonable in price that it leaves money for fun! Across the street is a wonderful little drug/gift/western store.
