Staying at the Marrian George was an unforgettable experience! This hotel is truly a masterpiece of modern design and creativity, offering a perfect blend of luxury and artistry. The rooms were absolutely stunning—each one uniquely designed with meticulous attention to detail. From the bold colour palettes to the striking architecture, every corner of the space felt like stepping into a contemporary art exhibit. The artwork and decor throughout the hotel were breathtaking. It was like staying in a living, breathing gallery! Beyond the aesthetic, the service was top-notch. The staff were professional and attentive, ensuring every need was met with care and enthusiasm. The hotel’s ambience perfectly balances sophistication with comfort. Whether you’re a lover of art or simply seeking a one-of-a-kind stay, this is the place to be. I highly recommend the Marrian George for anyone looking to immerse themselves in a creative and luxurious atmosphere. I can’t wait to return!

It was wonderful. Very clean and beautiful furniture and fittings. We arrived on a very hot day and they had the aircon running for some time before we arrived, so the room was nice and cool. The room also smelled amazing.

Merindol is a beautiful historical building, perfectly restored and maintained. Vincent, the owner was on site to welcome us and make us comfortable. The location is excellent with beautiful views of the nearby mountain to the West and over the valley to the East. Very comfortable and clean room with spacious bathroom. Secure parking, close to the room was a bonus. We ere threated to a scrumptious breakfast the next morning. Allthough located in Riebeeck West, it is just a few minutes drive to Riebeeck kasteel. There are at least 2 nice restaurants within walking distance. We'll be back !

The town of Riebeek-Kasteel is beautiful and has some great places. We love the Barn or Felix Cafe for breakfast or lunch, with Au Bouchon Rouge a great dinner option. Definitely have a gin and tonic on the verandah of The Royal Hotel.

I loved the "feel" of Darling, with their big wide roads.

I loved the "feel" of Darling, with their big wide roads. You really felt you were out in the countryside, fresh air & beautiful birdsong....no traffic noise. I found the people very friendly. We went for a wedding on one of the farms & loved every minute of it. We ate at the Marmalade Cat, good food, staff were warm & inviting & the cost was very reasonable. I also bought some beautiful gifts from The Heart of Darling shop, loved wandering around the array of items. We also popped into The Forge, such great ambience, lovely staff. I wanted to go back there but we ran out of time. We have friends in Darling & had a braai with them, so we got to meet some of the locals.... loved it! We'll be back.

I recently visited Piketberg and had a truly wonderful experience. The town is surrounded by beautiful mountains that offer stunning views and a sense of peace. I was impressed by the lovely houses scattered throughout — they add charm and character to the town. The roads were well maintained, making it easy and pleasant to get around. I also felt safe and secure during my stay, which added to the overall comfort and enjoyment. Piketberg is a lovely place, and I would definitely recommend visiting.

Lovely gardens. Room was in front at parking area and noisy. Very nice breakfast. Unfortunately the room was not comfortable and furniture is old and just didnt feel a fourstar hotel they advertise on their website! The swimmingpool outside was not convenient at all. Frogs might enjoy swimming in it.

Porterville is a very small town.

Porterville is a very small town. The Villa-Choc-O-Latt is situated on the main road and is easy to find, although somewhat noisy due to passing traffic. The surrounding scenery, canola fields, agriculture and history of the area is lovely and Porterville is a good transitional point to travel further up the West Coast.

The Homestead was surprisingly spacious with a beautiful farmstead kitchen well fitted with modern appliances and conveniently equipped. During our stay temperatures reached 36'C but with the air-conditioning and ceiling fans we were never uncomfortably hot and even in the heat our favorite spot was the undercover outside area beside the splash pool which was never without a breeze. We had a lovely and peaceful stay, far in-between a car will pass but mostly it was just us and the birds and the breeze in the trees 😃

Close to Hopefield is most amazing Road stall 'Plaasmol' A must see. World's largest chair. Aeroplane in the middle of Westcoast. The size of the room, excellent hosts, magnificent view from room. Ducks in garden and chickens. The host makes excellent smoked chicken and salted caramel ice cream. The hotel in town has a little reaturant. G's. You can walk to Hopefield and walk in Hopefield to all the places. Lovely church. WE WERE PLEASANTLY SURPRISED BY HOPEFIELD.

What a beautiful quaint town.

What a beautiful quaint town. Certain of the restuarants need to rethink what they present to their patrons as their menus were misrepresentations of their meals However we had excellent service and food, lunch and breakfast in Riebeeck-west at Cucina Krematart which also had a beautiful nursery next door which had unusual plants.Their Terbourdore coffee was fabulous like usual.
