We have stayed a lot of great places and met many awesome people around the world. This resort is truly SPECIAL. If you’re coming to swim with the humpbacks, plan it with the resort which far exceeded our expectations from what we read on Trip Advisor. The whole staff and owners were amazing. The food was always Incredible. The views were absolutely beautiful. We saw whales at our dinner table upon arrival! We loved everything about this resort and plan to return with friends! Thank you, Tongan Beach Resort :)

This property is very comfortable, relaxing, and quiet. The staff, Peta and Mau, were very helpful and accommodating with transportation to town for shopping and dinner. The owner, Kjell, was fantastic. We enjoyed conversation and learning about the culture of Tonga. Breakfast was wonderful. We loved sitting on the deck for breakfast. The reef was just off the boat dock. It is a beautiful, healthy reef with many species of fish and coral. The bay was perfect for kayaking. Thank you to Mystic Sands for a wonderful stay.

Beautiful location on a quiet sandy beach. Lots of water toys are available for you to use. The villas have covered porch areas if you want some cover from the beach. They are all so tastefully decorated with everything you need to feel relaxed on your vacation - so amazed at how stylish and well planned the villas were! Petra and Tony are amazing hosts and will help make arrangements for activities, taxis and car rentals. So enjoyed getting to know both hosts - they have such interesting life stories. Breakfast is very filling with a variety of fruit, bread, muesli, yogurt, juice, coffee, tea. Definitely feel very lucky to have booked this place!

What’s not to love? The villas are beautiful with ocean views. The beds are very comfortable. The staff is warm, welcoming, and extremely helpful. All of the meals made by our incredible chef Matheus were absolutely delicious and something you would eat at a Michelin star restaurant. We loved using the complimentary stand up paddle boards and ocean kayaks to explore the beautiful coastline, and there is amazing snorkeling all around the resort! We saw tons of fish, healthy coral reef, a sea snake, a sea turtle, and even an octopus. The owner, Herwig, also arranged and booked a day of scuba diving for me nearby.
