Set by Lake Kilpisjärvi off the E8 motorway, this resort is within 7 km of the Swedish and Norwegian borders. It offers cottages and apartments with private saunas, full kitchens and free Wi-Fi. Location was perfect. Holy mountain Saana on the one side, beautiful Kilpisjärvi lake on the other side, several reindeer strolling around. The accommodation had all the necessary things for a pleasant stay. Great location for daily hikes around. Even the Norwegian fjords are a mere half-hour car ride away. Kilpisjärvi is my favourite area in Finland so far - highly recommended for all hiking and nature enthusiasts.

Livo Arctic Resort er staðsett í Posio í Lapplandi, 45 km frá Riisitunturi-þjóðgarðinum. The stay was fantastic! The hospitality (thanks Darius!) was top-notch from arrival until departure. The cabins were also unique from any other place I have stayed in Finland and it was refreshing. They were spacious, cozy, and perfect for those wanting to see the northern lights in a dark area.

Kurula's Resort er staðsett í Pyhätunturi, 18 km frá Amethyst-námunni, og býður upp á gistingu með einkastrandsvæði, ókeypis einkabílastæði, sameiginlega setustofu og verönd. We’ve had a great stay in this resort. Staff is very friendly, speaks different languages, open for any questions and inquiries. The apartment itself is very comfortable and spacious. The view is amazing independently from the season. The kitchen is made with care for every detail, you will have anything you need from the plates and cutlery to oil spray and napkins. Some coffee, tea bags, cacao and honey are also provided. The sauna in the bathroom is great and efficient. The bed is very comfortable and with extremely soft pillows and blankets. There is even a heated drying closet for your winter clothes and heated floors. Very good sound isolation, we’ve never heard other guests, street or corridor. We’ve also rented forest skies from the reception, very convenient, you don’t need to go anywhere else. In overall we are extremely satisfied with this stay and highly recommend the place!

Northern Lights Village Levi er staðsett í Sirkka og býður upp á garð. Meðal fjölbreyttrar aðstöðu er verönd og bar. Gistirýmið er með sólarhringsmóttöku. The breakfast and dinner are fabulous. The village also provides safaris, aurora hunting, etc. I think these activities are better organized comparing to the ones provided in Rovaniemi.

Ranua Resort Arctic Igloos býður upp á snjóhús í Ranua, með glæsilegu útsýni yfir finnska Lapplands-himininn og nærliggjandi stöðuvatnið Ranuanjärvi. The igloos are just amazing and the sauna in the room is so cool and convenient.

Apukka Resort is in Apukka, just 15 minutes drive from Rovaniemi. The property features multiple saunas, including an ice sauna, igloo sauna and movable saunas. Apukka was outstanding! We had the most wonderful stay with exceptional staff. The igloos were just beautiful and comfortable. Seeing the northern lights 2 days in a row were a bonus .. Thank you for amazing two days .

Aurora Village Ivalo is situated in Ivalo and offers cabins with a glass roof, offering the possibility to spot the Northern Lights from the bed. We stay here for two nights hope to see the Aurora and we did it. It is an unforgettable experience to stay in the cabin and watch Aurora from the room. Everything is magical!
